Neat place for VR and drinks, we were not thrilled with the food as most of what we had was charged/burnt/smoky, which is one of their things - part of the taste you get with the mad (max) Rex theme on the post-apocalyptic world I presume? The service and people were very nice so some bonus starage there and more goodness for the nearby parking and other fun stuff to do.

Mad Rex has some interesting and very theme fitting decor. We only stopped in for drinks but they were pretty creative as well. They have a virtual reality area too which wasn't impressive. I would stop back to try the food however.

Very unique and interesting. They obviously put a lot of work into this place and it shows. It's not all about the awesome decore the food is amazing as well. The cook your own food on a hot stone thing kind of reminds me of a do it yourself kbbq.

My family and I decided on this place to celebrate my father's birthday - wrong choice. It took way too long to get our meals. My burger was very mediocre, lacking in flavor, I have had better ones at fast food restaurants. My husband and my mother's food was cold and chicken was dry. I will say this restaurant had nice presentation of the food, but the taste was nothing special. Being that it took so long to get our food, we weren't impressed and we had a $134 bill for food we didn't care for we didn't even check out the virtual reality lounge. Which I read cost a $1 per minute to play! I was disappointed because it was ultimately my idea to go here, I thought it would be something different for us to do together and on the website as well they had very great presentation of the food. I was excited to go only to get my bubble bursted in person. Don't plan on going back.

Very rad restaurant! Tons of interesting and delicious food options. Went with a group of 8 and had a great time. Our server was awesome too!

Great atmosphere!! Hot stone cooking. The pita appetizers are to die for. The staff are very nice and attentive. Limited parking really close to Punchline and Sugar House Casino.

Excellent atmosphere and overall feel to this hip eatery but falls a bit short when it comes to the quality of the actual menu offerings. Really cool interactive section of the menu offers diners a 'hot rock' on the plate to personally finish cooking their order, lending to the survivor theme. Food and drink priced on the higher side for what you get but it's more about the ambience. Margarita had a very notable lack of liquor and the burger had an unpalatable amount of salt. Service was delightful; polite, timely, and efficient.

Fantastic place, especially because I love the post apocalyptic vibe (Fallout). If you come here and don’t try the Survivor Menu, then you are a fool that deserves to be locked into a Vault. The meat is fresh and flavorful, everyone is friendly and the prices are in line with the quality of the food and service. Two personal notes: the bar stools are way too close to the ground, and the chicken wings are the whole chicken leg (which I do not like, but my girl loves).
