Friendly staff and decent service (hence 2 stars), but the food was not good at all.
I had the chicken katsu don set, which comes with 'gyoza'. Sadly, the rice was unevenly cooked--some kinda hard, some chewy, some just right. The katsu was average but forgivable poorly cooked rice was enough to break a don. Oh, and the 'gyoza' were like party snack size and deep fried. What's up with that?

This place has always been hit or miss... But these days, it's more often miss.
Spicy miso Ramen was actually gross.
100% literally about 3 cms of floating oil on top of broth...I feel greasy just thinking about it.
Nothing feels overly fresh about the food.

The spicy miso ramen at lunch was a too sweet and too salty broth with hot pepper flakes in it. And 3 small pieces of fried chicken. For $13!
The teriyaki tofu rice is 2 pieces of soft tofu on rice with a bland teriyaki sauce. It's been a long time since I was disappointed by japanese food :( I will not waste my time and money coming here again.

I ordered a vegetarian spicy miso ramen and it was very disappointing. It was basically broth , noodles and corn kernels. I was told it would take longer to prepare because I wasn't having chicken or pork but there was nothing extra added, I was expecting tofu or vegetables to be added. My friend ordered a pork miso ramen and was also disappointed. Would not get ramen from here again unfortunately.

Have been a regular customer here for more than 5 years now. Staff are professional and attentive, good food, reasonable price, fast turnover. One of the better Japanese restaurants North of the river if you're looking for a simple meal.

I had the Miso Ramen! It was delicious and the staff as always super lovely. In Perth not a lot of places do miso ramen as yummy as this 😋

Fridays are the best days not only because its the day before the weekend but its rhe day the shogun of our household allows the emperor to purchase their lunch. So every Friday I head here, this beautiful quaint restaurant is straight out of Samarui Gourmet and the food OOSHI! Treat yourself and head on in for some delicious ramen or curry hell even sushi its all good and fast which something hard to get around here. 10/10 will dine again!
