Very attentive service… good food, super casual atmosphere. I had the Chile relleno burrito, which was good. Had a bit too much pepper for my palate, however. My husband had the machaca and eggs. He enjoyed his meal. The highlight was definitely the agua de mango. SO good, it was like they poked a straw into the sweetest mango and bam!

I ordered a chicken soup. Drove from their place Pasadena to Crescent, and when I got home, the soup was just bland boiled water with no flavor. I called the place and a Jose got on the phone who identified himself as the owner of the place and his best suggestion was to just put salt in it and that should be good to go. In other words just drink salty water. He then suggested, ok, if you don't want to do that, bring drive back, bring it, and he would exchange it for another one. He added, bring me that one that you have, and he would exchange it for another one but not to expect any refund/ reimbursement for the time, gas, or bad experience because he was not here to just be giving his food for free. Although I paid $20.00 dollar. This was a very untasty service all the way around. They showed zero empathy to their disgusting boiled water they sold to me. Ugh.

Came on Wednesday for the $1 shrimp tacos. Got three grilled. They were so good that I got one more, fried. It was also really good. Also got a tostada mixta to go. I'm glad I read the reviews before coming to Vero's. I didn't see tacos on the menu, of any kind. There is a little sign by the cashier that lists the specials. It has "Taco de Cameron", but no price. There were seven other tables, and I am the only one that ordered them! Great little Mexican restaurant. It's on Lincoln, just north of Orange Grove. 10 tables, not to busy. Friendly staff and good service. I was here at 11:30am. It was a very local crowd, mostly workers that know good, authentic, reasonably priced food. Fyi, parking is a little tough. UPDATE: Pozole on Tuesdays and Birria and Menudo on weekends! Chips and homemade salsa. The best around, and complimentary!

First time ordering from this restaurant. Ordered a breakfast burrito sausage and egg and hash browns. Hash browns were soggy. Egg had no flavor. Ordered it using door dash, was delivered pretty quickly but the way the restaurant packaged the food was in a clear bag in a knot burrito on bottom napkins on top of the burrito then tortillas chips thrown on top of the napkins. Clumpy watery salsa. Not bad but not again
