Los Toritos Tamales

I came across this little hole on the wall and fell in love with it. I happened to have a nice conversation with a lady there who told me a lil bit about the restaurant. She was so nice she invited me for a free cup of coffee called Cafe de olla and a free tamale with jalapeño and cheese. Well, of course, I paid for my meal, which was very delicious. I recommend the jalapeño and cheese tamales. They specialize in tamales. They have breakfast all day. About the coffee, Cafe de olla, they normally make it with a sugar made in Mexico that gives it that wonderful flavor. In this case, she doesn't do that sugar. She uses cinnamon instead. If you happen to be in the area, I recommend visiting this humble place and have yourself the most delicious tamales. They have other plates as well. Not too expensive. By the way, you can order a dozen of tamales and take it home. I recommend this place.

Really good breakfast tacos! Closest thing to a Corpus Christi taco I have found in Greater Houston. They don't skimp and are decently priced. Expect to wait though. Even when I'm the first one in the door it takes a while but totally worth it! Only complaint is that they don't use breakfast sausage in the sausage tacos. They use something that tastes like Hillshire Farms.... that's not sausage but it didn't ruin the taco.

Love their tamales! We drive from Baytown to get them because they are always wonderful! There was not the usual selection since it was just before Christmas. I like the spicey brisket best but they were out of them. The traditional pork is very good and we tried the spicey chicken and it was good too.
