Really loved this place. A bit of a hidden gem, opposite the Broadway cinema. Food was delicious, portions huge, great atmosphere. What really impressed our party about this place though was the service. Super friendly, attentive & efficient. Nothing was too much trouble, Alex & Jenny went above and beyond to ensure we had great birthday celebrations for my best friend. Love this place & will 100% be back!

The staff at Fat Hippo are friendly and from the moment we were seated, our server, Jess, was attentive and the food arrived promptly, with any special requests handled with a smile. Alex also made sure to keep us smiling with plenty of banter and jokes which made our visit all the more enjoyanble Whether you're a burger aficionado or just looking for a fun, delicious meal, Fat Hippo caters to a diverse range of tastes and dietary preferences. While the focus is undeniably on burgers, there are also good options for sides and salads. Vegetarians and vegans are well-catered for as well. The burgers at Fat Hippo are really good, being cooked to perfection with fresh ingredients and really showcased the kitchen's abilities to provide tasty and satisfying food. The fries are crispy and flavorful, and the optional extra toppings offer a fun twist on the classic side. The portion sizes are generous, ensuring that you leave satisfied without feeling overwhelmed. There is also a good selection of drinks for both grown ups and the kids, whether you are in the mood for a beer, soft drinks or a milk shake, they have you covered. While not the cheapest option in town, the quality of the food justifies the price. Considering the portion sizes and the overall dining experience, it's very reasonable for a memorable meal out. I would definitely recommend them and I certainly will be paying them a visit next time I am in town.

Incredible burger with amazing service. We rocked up on a Saturday evening for a meal without any booking and they managed to find us a nice tabel outside. Our server was Alex who was incredibly nice and friendly. He gave us very helpful and nice and chatty. Food was great, the cheese balls started was amazing. Burger was very well cooked and overall a fantastic burger. Really nice meal and would definitely recommend

The most marvellous burger in Nottingham? perhaps so!! delicious meal with wonderful service. Poppy was a delight, happy to help with any request. Jess was a font of allergy wisdom and alleviated any concerns I had whilst providing excellent menu recommendations! Clayton provided stunningly fast bar service for which we were immensely impressed. Such a wonderful team! It was lovely getting to know them and I’m sure fat hippo will be seeing me soon!

The food was amazing!! So so tasty with a wide choice to choose from. The ultimate comfort food anyone can ask for. Just the cheese balls for example, they’re huge and crispy on the outside with a really generous amount of cheese. At least you get exactly what is said on the menu and the portions are big! The staff is also very friendly and welcoming. There was a bit of a wait when we went but it did look quite busy. This is a must try and I definitely recommend it!

Amazing food and really good atmosphere with an outdoor bit. Vegan burgers here are literally unreal, especially the fake chicken ones. My friend ordered a real fried chicken burger and said it was the best fried chicken she's ever had. Our server Fred was really lovely, checked up on us to see if we wanted more drinks and everything.
