This was from a delivery order. I ordered jerk chicken, spicy sauce, yellow rice, Mac and cheese, corn bread, and rum cake. The delivery set up when ordering the meal was confusing with the sauces because it has mild and spicy and then an option to get extra sauce, but they’re limited to one selection so you can’t order extra sauce and pick a mild/spicy sauce. I thought that the spicy was a spicy jerk sauce while the mild would be just a less spicy version. The spicy sauce was really hot, I’d put it on the same level as straight up habanero hot sauce. I didn’t get any jerk flavors in the meat or sauce just some smoke flavor from the chicken but it was good all the same and there’s different ways to make jerk foods. The meat came diced, and not on the bone, which wasn’t expected but there was a very good portion of it and it was hot and very tasty. I was hesitant to really lay into it out of fear of finding a bone but didn’t find a single one in the meal. I do not believe I got yellow rice and while the alternative was good, it wasn’t what I was ordering. It looked like rice and beans and it was still good. The Mac and cheese seems to be getting flak from people here in the reviews. I think most people up in arms about it only have two categories of mac and cheese, it’s either in a box or it’s baked into a brick, and there’s so many kinds out there. This didn’t taste anything like a box of Mac and cheese and was noodles in a cheese sauce which I think had some garlic in there. It’s still mac and cheese and it’s delicious. The corn bread was soggy about 50% of the way up either the top or bottom side of it and it wasn’t ideal, it still tasted good but it was pretty soggy unfortunately. The rum cake I ordered was good, there’s two firm cake layers that were light and moist with a generous amount of frosting. It had an overpowering rum flavor that really dominated everything but then again it’s rum cake so that did make sense. I would have preferred a more mild flavor but it’s rum cake so there you have it. I took one star off for the rice mixup, good food that has dominating flavor profiles. A lot of heavy hitting flavors that work well together.

Love this place! Big portions, chicken curry is the best around, the Mac and cheese is really good, and so are the plantains. Just tried the jerk pork, which was also great but it did taste like bbq.I’ve ordered both spicy, I would say it’s the perfect amount of heat but my bf says it’s a little spicy for him so depending on your taste.

OMG, worst “so-called” island food ever. This is supposed to be Brown Stew Chicken. Not sure where they got this recipe and chef from. There’s nothing island about this meal. It’s horrible. Obviously the ppl who posted good comments aren’t familiar with island food. This meal is offensive to Jamaicans such as myself. Very disappointed…🤦🏽‍♂️

I ordered the oxtails with Mac and cheese for my mother. She wasn’t pleased with the meal. I went to restaurant and they couldn’t give refund of $22. I went back to restaurant the cashier basically saying she couldn’t do anything. I ask cashier could I get a exchange and some money back she said no then I talked to the manager. She said it’s a courtesy to fix my Order and gave me a small curry chicken. I received no partial refund or full. A full plate of oxtails uneaten and $22 down the drain. This will be my first and last time trying this restaurant, i learned my lesson just stick with the restaurants you normally go.

I’m giving a 1 star because that’s the only way I can write my review but I would give them a big ol 0. If your from the island you will agree for those who are not I’m sorry for the wool they are putting over your eyes. The food is NOT AUTHENTIC JAMAICAN CUISINE. AT ALL!!! Everything has cinnamon in it. I ordered the Jerk Pork and it’s sweet and full of bar que sauce. I also ordered coco bread and they just gave me a slice of bread with butter and a bunch cinnamon. My brother in law ordered the jerk chicken and it was Horrible full of cinnamon chicken skin. I tried to give the food back and ask for a refund for this horrible meal And they said No just go ahead and give your bad review. So I am. They can honestly do better.

I haven't even finished eating because I had to leave an outstanding review... To get one con out of the way I read other reviews and they stated that you get a small portion of oxtail for the price you pay so I knew that going in, well I understand this portion may be found small it's how they run their business. The fries have an amazing flavor and the Mac and cheese is so outstanding along with the oxtail that it will outweigh a lost star for price. So good, I highly recommend. I Also got a cheesy empanada which is a very decent size plus the meat is seasoned and the cheese compliments it perfectly Also kudos to the store for wrapping their takeout/delivery order with a tamper seal, something for added peace of mind! Will definitely be back.

The Best. If your looking for great Caribbean food this is it. First timers will get a sample of the meats to help make the decision harder because they are all fantastic. We ordered the Rib plate , jerk chicken plate and chicken curry . All were authentic and tasted great. The restaurant has a relaxed feel. Seating is limited but takeout is available . The food ,drinks,friendly staff and low key setting is worth the wait and prices were reasonable.Would of given a higher rating but 5 stars is the max.
