Ocean Blue Seafood Restaurant

Positive: crab boil is very tasty with the combo butter sauce. And fairly priced for the two clusters. For this I would give a rating of 3.5/4 stars. Negative: though the sauce is very flavorful and flattering, the crab legs didn't seem fresh. Additionally, the rest of the food that I've ordered here has not been good at all (crab cakes are basically fried batter and bell peppers. Fries are not seasoned, fish tastes stale... The list goes on). I figured since I like the crab legs that something else may taste equally as good, but so far, I have not found anything else here that I would ever try again. I was very very disappointed by the crab cakes... For this I would give a 2 star rating. In total I would give this place a 2.5/3 stars. I would possibly go back just for the sauce that they put the crab legs in.🤤

The food was... just okay. I had a seafood platter, and I don't believe I will be returning. I'm a 757 Native visiting my family but live in Atlanta, so I've been craving good seafood. The fish was hard and I'm not sure how fresh it was if at all. The crabcake was a total waste... horrible and ended up in the trash. It tasted more like soft bread with a little seafood flavoring. The shrimp & calamari weren't too bad. You could actually tell it was calamari as it wasn't heavily breaded or fried too hard. The oysters were heavily breaded and not good. I've never had the seafood boils so I can't speak on that.

First off, the food here? PHENOMENAL. if you're ever out in Norfolk, you're obligated to eat at this place at least once (unless you have allergies) but I've had alot of seafood and this place takes the cake. Compare what you want to wat you know, taste; phenomenal, freshness; super fresh, the SAUCE; puts it all together nothing but good remarks for this establishment 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾

As a long time seafood lover, I was thoroughly pleased with the freshness, seasoning and quantity for value. The 1lb shrimp boil with garlic butter and Old Bay was so good! Probably the best I've tasted. The service was great, resturant was clean and the place stayed busy with customers while we dined in. They are also a seafood market so live crab and raw items are also available for purchase. We enjoyed the fried fish and shrimp platters, tenders, and steamed shrimp. They offer a diverse menu to also include Habachi style food with fried rice. Would definitely recommend Ocean Blue. Hope to return whenever we travel back to the area.
