Tropical Smoothie Cafe

I was recently in a hurry to get my mother home from a doctor appointment. The doctor ordered her to bed. She wasn’t feeling well but asked for a smoothie. I called ahead to Tropical Smoothie but got no answer. I called a second time. Nothing. I finally pulled up in front of the store, and decided to call right before I walked in. With the phone in my hand still ringing, I saw two employees sitting in the dining room and another leaning against the wall, all of them looking at their phones. When I asked them why they weren’t answering the phone, they just stared at me blankly. When I asked a second time, one of them cursed me out. I left and won’t be back.

I'm very disappointed in the quality of my food. I ordered a BBQ Shrimp quesidilla today & it looked nothing like one. It was very thin, barely any ingredients inside as if they are stingy with ingredients. It appeared nothing like the photo or either any other real quesidilla I have eaten. I waited an hour to recieve barely any food. I only ate it because I was actually really hungry. I believe employees should take more pride in the way they present food to their customers. Presentation matters ... put more ingredients on ...make mine the same way you would want to eat yours. This was just ridiculous, it was basically flat. Very very upset & STILL HUNGRY.

Horrible. I literally saw staff screaming at customers. I have been to many tropical smoothies and have never seen one that is so poorly managed. The sad part is that the owner or manager was there and did nothing he had no control over the situation. In all honesty I’ll be surprised if there open much longer.

the smoothie i ordered tasted great, and i wanted to leave this review for one exceptional worker! i couldn’t get his name clearly, i believe he said his name was haman? a tall gentleman with dark brown hair with a bit of an accent. he was very nice and went out of his way to help me today, and i want to thank him for that! you are amazing and thank you very much for the help!

I was there last Friday 30 July 21 around 2:30 -3:00 p.m. service was super slow took 30 minutes to get a smoothie with 3 employees working one young lady was one her phone talking and complaining out load about someone not coming to work. Another was slowly making sandwiches and a young man was making the smoothies he would make 2 or 3 then disappear for awhile then make a few more it took over 45 minutes to get a smoothie for me and my son. Someone needs to look into the management at the granby st Norfolk location. The only reason I gave them ⭐ is because of the smoothie.
