Hotel Grande

I have eaten at hotel probably at least 30 times in the past few years and I never once have had a bad meal. The chips and salsa brought to your table is always fresh, the wait staff is always polite and friendly. My fiance and I always get chicken wing dip as an appetizer it's so good! Their wings are also good sized and juicy. Regardless of what you order you should be pleased by the portion size as well as the taste! Save room for dessert, the deep fried ice cream is delicious. Even if you opt out of dessert, you are still brought out (sopapias)sp, a donut ball type Mexican inspired treat served with powdered sugar on top and honey to dip it in:) Greg the owner is a very nice gentleman also, can almost always be found helping wait tables or just walking throughout the dining room checking to make sure everyone it's satisfied.

Love this place. First of all the margaritas are first rate with several different flavors frozen or on the rocks. And there is normal beer selection including Mexican beers. For the food I always order low carb so I love the burrito bowl which comes with a great corn and black bean salsa. My husband is plain Jane so he orders just a plane chicken quesadilla which he devours.

I like this place. The decor is tasteless in a fun way, the music at good volume to make casual conversation between diners easy but drowns out other tables, the menu varied, and the complimentary chips and salsa of good quality and taste. Their onion petals are served with a dipping sauce that tastes fresher and more flavorful than any I've been served before. Dates have commented most approvingly of their portabella quesadillas and shrimp fajitas. However, after numerous visits I do have one very large gripe. They really, really need to start seasoning their meat. I can't comment on the seafood, but I can attest to the meat. Quality is high, but the chicken tastes poached and the steak they use in their burritos et al tastes like they bought it already cooked and after shredding left it in a steamer tray all afternoon. The chicken doesn't taste any fresher than the shredded steak, either. Drinks are good and the serving staff incredibly friendly and helpful, but stick with the taco beef if you like your tex-mex to taste like tex-mex.

Food was good but service was awful. We weren't only table that felt that way. Friends were at another table and had same comments. Waiter kept forgetting to bring things to our table and theirs. We had a party of 12 and 10 of us got our meals and the other 2 never got theirs til rest of us were about done. Two others got part of their meal and rest was brought later. The food was very good. The wait for our food was long and then to have missing meals,missing part of meals was unexcusable! .

Best place in the area to have mexican. The portions are perfect, the prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is festive and relaxed, the staff is friendly and on point. Food can be easily veganized. Love the nachos! Best Margaritas in St. Lawrence County! Homemade salsa and guacamole that will leave your pallette happy.

Always a great time. My parents have been coming here since before I was born when they lived nearby, and it's been as good as the day they first walked in. This is by far my favorite Tex-Mex joint, the only better stuff Ive had was authentic stuff cooked by the chef we called 'El Jefe' in NH. Just came here for the first time in two years and it's still as good as ever. Keep it up guys, you run a great operation!
