Little Big Diner

This is some of the best ramen in the Boston area, in my opinion. And honestly - their green papaya salad is out of this world. The seating is super limited indoors during the cold months, but they have outdoor dining when it’s a bit warmer which will increase your chances of getting a table a little quicker. Otherwise, you can expect a little wait - since they don’t take any reservations but it’s worth it. Such a great little spot.

Soo good! Love the small dishes they offer here. Highly recommend the Kara Age Fried chicken, their sweet potato fries, and what seemed like a pork meatball. Super good! As an entree the Spicy Miso was ordered. With Naruto, and an extra egg. The portions are generous and the broth is tasty. Enjoy the small place and ambiance. Our waiter was super friendly!

Stopped there last night while bringing my daughter back to BC. Small (tiny) place with inside and outside seating . Nice staff. Small menu with Ramen Bowl choices. I got the Ultra and my daughter got the Tom Tom; both were nice size, delicious broth! The Tom Tom could have a few more veggies but both were absolutely tasty and we would go back again !

Came here on a weekday around 745pm. The place was pretty full (especially outdoor seating) but we were lucky to get a table inside without waiting. Small menu but they change some of the apps sometimes so always nice to be able to try something new. I got the LBD Paitan which was flavorful and light enough where it wasn't too salty.

I really loved my first time at Little Big Diner and will definitely be back. The staff - despite such a small and busy place - were so helpful with our questions and were so welcoming. Our server Kristen was fantastic and we couldn’t have asked for better service. The food was so fresh and so delicious that I’ve been thinking about it ever since. I really love the low lighting and hope they don’t do anything to change it, because it makes for a very relaxing ambience. I wish I could give more than five stars!

I should preface this review by saying I work in the service industry and have for 15 years. I am also extremely patient when it comes to eating out because I know first hand how crazy things can be, especially now when everyone is short staffed and spread thin. That said, after being quoted 30 minutes, we waited for over an hour to be seated (which we weren’t mad about because no one can predict how quickly customers will move through a meal). After we sat down, we were served drinks and asked if we wanted to put something in so we ordered an appetizer. The appetizer was dropped without a word and no one took our order. We finished the app, even stacked our menus and waited for someone to take our order. No one came over for our order for 40 minutes. One waitress was 100% preoccupied with organizing the take-out orders and the other was chatting with a table of people who were clearly her friends. (The table was directly next to ours and not once did she glance our way or pause her conversation). There were only 10 tables in a very small space and between the two waitresses, no one cleared the 4 dirty tables, refilled our waters or drinks, took away the empty appetizer plate or took our order. We decided we weren’t going to stay and put out credit card on the table to try to cash out and we were still not helped for another 10 minutes. The woman I was with said she had eaten here before and that it was amazing so hopefully this was a fluke but we couldn’t believe how terrible the service was.
