Service is terrible. Half the people in there don't know what they are doing and are not professional. I have gone here a few times because its convenient to where I work but I will not be going back again. The food is nothing special and the last item I got which were the fish tacos were sloppy. I don't really expect much and its a sham because they have so much potential. I just think if they want more business they should look into better training the staff on what to talk about at work (personal issues) and what stays at home.

It's difficult to rate Martini as the experience is off and on. However, even when on, it's still overpriced and just decent. The sweet potato smfrieds are delicious, but the burgers are overcooked and not seasoned. Staff is totally uninterested in working or serving you most of the time as well. Appetizers are better, the quesadillas are pretty good, though nothing spectacular. Atmosphere is actually nice as this is a modern, clean place in Newark.

I went to this restaurant in early July of this 2012. The sandwich I ordered ended up causing major dental problems for me. In the words of the manager "the food should never have left the kitchen." Well it did, and the restaurant has not been willing to deal with me. Initially phone calls and emails were returned, but the restaurant soon just stopped acknowledging me. I was asking for the restaurant to assist me with my out of pocket expenses, because I fortunately have dental insurance. I only went there once, and the food I was served was verging on inedible. It was prepared so poorly, that I was unable to cut the sandwich with a knife. If a knife can't cut it, then perhaps it will cause problems when you bite into it with your teeth. As it was a sandwich, I didn't think to cut it with a knife first. I have been to restaurants in the past when the food is not properly prepared, and those restaurants have always tried to correct the situation. This restaurant has demonstrated to me that it does not care about the fact that I was injured while attempting to eat its food. I would recommend that people avoid this place. I don't think it is worth the risk. If I could take back that lunch, I would, because I went through 4 months of dental agony because of this restaurant.
