The best night in the region you could have - amazing service (you are made to feel like family straight away), the best paella in Spain, and the best flamenco I could imagine! Can't wait to come back ���
We had the most wonderful evening and dinner of our trip in the warm hospitality of Yelena and her lovely family. They worked hard from start to finish to make sure our experience was excellent. Wednesday night flamenco was a wonderful experience ... in a small intimate setting. Food was out of this world, most of it prepared by Yelena. She whipped together a delicious vegetarian meal for me( the one vegetarian in the group)! Wine parings and dessert were delicious! Yelena responded with lightening speed when I messaged her for reservations on FB. We will be back and recommend this wonderful experience on a Wednesday night when you visit in or around Nerja.

Das Abendessen mit Liveshow des traditionellen Flamencos in drei Akten ist beeindruckend und unvergesslich. Das Essen in drei Gängen kann zwischen vier Variationen pro Gang gewählt werden und wird frisch zubereitet. Die Preise für Getränke sind sehr günstig und die Bedienungen sprechen fließend Englisch.
We all absolutely love this Special place, the food is amazing, the Flamenco is outstanding and the atmosphere is incredible, every time we visit is one of the highlights of our Holiday, thanks for making some more wonderful memories and see you again
Wer einen typisch spanischen Abend erleben möchte, kann ihn hier erleben. Mittwochs abends gibt es einen Flamencoabend mit zwei sehr guten Tänzern und zwei Musikern. Das Essen ist super und die Kellner sehr freundlich. Wobei das Gebäude von außen nicht so ansprechend ist, wird mit einem schönen rustikalen Flair im Inneren überrascht. Ich persönlich war schon öfter dort und würde jederzeit wiederkommen!
Such a lovely place, warm attentive staff and the food was absolutely great. We had delicious onion soup and tasty chicken and pork dishes, the sauces were very good on both. The guitarist was amazing, such a great player! The flamenco dancers were incredibly good and did three short shows, the rhythm grabbed you at first but the passion showed through. They looked mentally as well as physically exhausted by the end of the show. We left feeling quite elated. It may sound like a cheesy night but it really isn't at all and I cannot recommend it highly enough!
We had a company training course in Nerja and wanted to do a Spanish night somewhere local. Looked up on google and found this brilliant restaurant. Everything is special about this place, the wonderful old and very impressive building with the dark arches, red brick floor and lots of antique features, the reception we got from the stuff, great hearty food and, of course, the main attraction - the fabulous flamenco itself, much better, than we had expected. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back!
On our holidays we always visit El Colono and spend a marvellous evening in a traditional Spanish setting and meet our favourite flamenco-group.

En av Nerjas äldsta ställe med god mat, mysigt atmosfär och fantastiska flamenco dansörer. Bästa tiramisu och gudomligt sorbet!
Always enjoy the food , the service , the ambience and a great night of entertainment at El Colono Flamenco restaurant .. a little gem in Nerja.
