12south has typically been a great place to dine/order from. However, the last experience was not so great… First, I’d like to say that I would have gladly messaged the restaurant directly, however, they did not give that option. Regarding our order, we ordered 3 of the same orders…Ribeye steaks that come with asparagus and baked potatoes. Unfortunately, it didn’t come out so great. The taste of the steaks were mediocre but the missing/incorrect sides were the worst. The steaks were supposed to come with grilled asparagus and baked potatoes. One order came with a potato only…the other two came with plain soggy crinkle cut fries. If 12south chooses to reply to correct this…I’m glad to update my post. For now…if you choose this place for food, you eat in so that you can correct them as you go.

I ordered delivery through their website, and have a very happy belly now! My pizza arrived on schedule (expected delivery was between 30-45 minutes and it came in about 35) and exactly as I'd ordered it. Most importantly, it was delicious...fresh and flavorful ingredients on a perfect crust. So glad to have found this! I've yet to visit in person, but I'm grateful to have a local option for pizza delivery (rather than a chain) and I love their late hours. This'll be my new go-to!

Delivery was in a timely manner, but the food was not good. I'm sitting here hoping I don't throw up from the questionable food I tried to eat. I ended up trashing more than half my order. The Caprese salad was not good at all. The miniature salad they gave to me was also awful. The cheese ravioli was tasty at first, but they use a questionable sauce and DRENCHED the ravioli in it, I had to stop eating it. So much grease. I even tried to scrape some of the sauce off and eat it, but I couldn't because there was so much. Definitely not ordering from here again, and definitely wasted my money on this order. Bad decision costing me $28, and possibly my stomach contents.

I had the chicken scampi and it was seriously one of the best pastas I ever tasted! I ordered it through door dash and my food was packaged really well so that it was hot when it arrived at my door! They also included salad and garlic bread that was THE BOMB and i didn't even know my food came with those sides. This place is a new fav!

DON’T TIP ON GRUBHUB APP!! – Why? Because I did and I shouldn’t have. My driver was 20 minutes later than the ample 45 minutes given by the app (with a 10 minute grace window). The GH app even messaged me when my food left the store. I ordered $19 worth of food, paid a $4 delivery fee and a $5 tip. My total: $30 and change. 1/3 of my meal cost went to delivery and tip. Had it been a great meal and great service, I wouldn’t be here. I DO have to say – I ordered cautiously because of the reviews online. So it’s no surprise I am here now. I also ordered from the Grubhub App, which to anyone who has played the telephone game knows, it adds another avenue for error and potential for communication breakdown. I ordered the Greek Salad: “A mix of field greens, romaine lettuce with Kalamata olives, sun-dried tomatoes, roasted whole garlic cloves, red onions, feta and cheddar cheeses, drizzled with Greek dressing (roasted red pepper vinaigrette).” I specifically asked no cheddar be put on my salad and to have the dressing on the side. While they got the no cheddar and the dressing on the side correct, my salad consisted of mixed greens (which was awesome because it wasn’t iceberg or romaine), feta, fresh tomato, white onion, black olives, and Italian vinaigrette. The ingredients were fresh. Unfortunately, I truly dislike black olives but love kalamata olives – so that was a disappointment to have to pick around all of those. The salad was actually really tasty but the dressing was something out of a jar. I also ordered a small Wild Mushroom Pizza “Olive Oil, Minced Garlic, Mozzarella Provolone Blend, Mushrooms, Portobello Mushrooms, Oyster Mushrooms, Shitake Mushrooms, Capers, Roasted Red Peppers. “ I asked them to add onion and put a side of marinara in the box, which they did. However, the pizza was missing roasted red peppers. I will say it was one of the better pizzas I’ve had in quite sometime and would have been really good if the driver wasn’t 20 mins late. Why was he late?? Because he WROTE down the wrong address even though I ordered DIGITIALLY, making a fourth avenue for erroneous information transference. SO after trying to review the app and the restaurant unsuccessfully online via my phone’s GH app AND Safari App…I called the store. The employee who answered the phone was not helpful. I asked to speak to a manager and they said they weren’t there. So I asked if there was someone I could make a complaint to. He mumbled, “hold on” and the phone went mute. Then Jim, the assistant manager, got on the phone – he was not apologetic and put me on hold so he could “talk to the chef.” (Really?) He came back on the phone after a minute or so and said, “we were busy tonight so that’s why and if next time you order, we make sure it’s right.” Then I wasn’t sure what he was saying. He mentioned a refund or a complimentary order and I had to ask him to clarify…He ultimately told me to look for a refund within few business days. I don’t trust that I will get one but I will look and call back if I don’t. It’s too bad that there was such a lack of customer attention and communication breakdown for what could potentially be a great restaurant partnering with a great app! Over all the food was pretty darn good – unfortunately 90% of the experience was a hassle and set the wrong expectations.
