Tailor Nashville

Seriously cannot get enough of this place. I think I’ve gone for every menu change since my first visit. The food is so flavorful and reminds me of my childhood growing up in a Gujarati Indian household. Service is exemplary and it’s a relaxed atmosphere with still amazing ambience. 10/10, 5 stars etc. Go if you haven’t been for a special occasion or date night.

What Chef Surti and his extraordinary staff have created is not only a visually appealing but it is a culinary experience. As someone who is Indian and grew up in the southern part of the US, the blending of flavors both traditional to my own mother’s cooking and the southern meals I enjoyed growing up is fantastic. My wife and I have experienced almost every single menu since Tailor opened up in 2018. I look forward to many more dinners, hearing the back story to the dishes, and the joy for cooking that Chef Surti has. At Tailor, you’re family, and that experience is see from the moment you walk thru the door.

If I could give TEN stars; I would. Can’t believe we are lucky enough to have a restaurant of this caliber in Nashville! The food is DIVINE; the service and experience is SPECTACULAR!!! Vivek, Ashley and the entire staff made our night so great. The BANG is definitely worth the buck here. I’ve spent more and gotten way less at high end restaurants across the country. Kudos, Tailor!!!

If I could rate higher than 5 stars, I absolutely would! This is unlike any dinner you will attend! It is an experience to be at Tailor. From the sitting room when you check in, to being brought into the dining area, the music, the service, and the FOOD! The food had a story along with it and it was so beautifully executed. So much flavor and so balanced all at the same time. I cannot wait to be back here for the future menus that Vivek creates.

Unbelievable meal, one of the best in recent memory. Every course was interesting, well-balanced, and delicious. The Ragda Pattis and Ceviche were both total showstoppers, and my wife loved the beef broth for sipping. Cocktails and wine were also so thoughtful, and Vivek and crew make the experience so welcoming. Worth every penny, and made for the best anniversary I could hope for. We will absolutely be back next season.

Absolutely delicious! I visited with two friends for a nice catch-up dinner, and we all absolutely loved the dinner. All the food was well balanced, covered multiple flavours and textures, and paired beautifully with drinks. I’d highly recommend to anyone, especially at the price point. My only critique is that the cocktail menu could be elevated. There’s endless possibilities with Indian flavours and spices, so I’d love to see more there.

What a neat experience! A 12 courses journey of the chef’s lived experiences. Ask for a high seat overlooking the kitchen so you can see all the action. I enjoyed every bite because it felt like a chapter of a story unfolding dish by dish. Stand out heros of the night were the Dabeli, Apple-fennel salad, Grilled Cabbage, and Fioretto Cauliflower Biryani. I worry I will never again be able to find a Biryani that tastes this transformative. If I could I would order it by the bucket load. The whole meal was such an amazing experience. As you would expect the staff was generous and the service impeccable. The best elevated Indian dining experience I’ve had in North America. Also the chef is super friendly! What a magical experience. PS - There were lots and lots of vegetarian options too!

This is my new favorite restaurant in town. The service was the best I’ve had anywhere, food was unforgettable and packed with flavor, and I had a smile on my face throughout this culinary experience. Do yourself a favor and put this one at the top of your list. Easiest five star review I’ve ever written. Would give this place a Michelin star if I could because it’s just THAT good.
