Tacos Y Mariscos El Amigo

It’s a shame because the food is so good, but this is the second time I’ve been overcharged. We ordered 2 quesadillas($11 each), 1 horchata($4), 1 gordita($5). Total with 9% tax should have been $33.79, but I was charged $36.48. There is also no option to get a receipt, which makes it hard to see where the extra amount is coming from. I should have argued about the total more, but I also shouldn’t have to argue the total in the first place. I’m usually non-confrontational and don’t want to make a scene so I let it go, but this did ruin the experience for me. Edit: I’ve been there about 8 more times after my last review because the food is still worth it, and haven’t been overcharged since. It looks like they also charge a small credit card fee for payment with credit card, which I have no problem paying. I’m updating my review from a 3 to 4 star. Short 1 star because I wish I had an option to get an itemized receipt.

We can not get enough of these tacos! Simple, delicious, and inexpensive, this has been my favorite toco spot for years. I can't believe this is the first time I'm reviewing it. A very humble spot, tables are close, and it has a community atmosphere. The service is warm and quick, and the food might take a minute longer than fast food, like maybe a whole minute, but it tastes so delicious. My faves are chorizo and carnitas.

I had heard rave reviews about this taco shop in Nashville, claiming it to be one of the best in town. Eager to try it out, I visited with my friends and had an array of tacos. I ordered al pastor, tripa, boche, chicharron, and lengua tacos, and I must say, they were all fantastic and truly authentic. Each taco was packed with flavor and made with high-quality ingredients. However, it's worth noting that my friend encountered a small issue when ordering queso. Instead of receiving melted cheese, they were served shredded cheese. So, it's advisable to clarify your expectations when ordering queso. Despite this minor hiccup, the overall experience at this taco shop was excellent, and I highly recommend it to anyone in search of delicious and genuine tacos in Nashville.

This restaurant not only has the best tacos I've ever had, but possibly the best food I've ever had. If I could only eat one food for the rest of my life, it would be tacos from here. The hot sauce is also incredible. And the price! I can get a full delicious meal for me and my family here for less than $20. This is a 10/10 restaurant. I'll never go to Taco Bell again.

The food here is legit . A small little simple space for authentic mexican food. We ordered the gorditas , sopes , tamale and the chicken taco along with some fresh horchata and some delicious guac and tostadas. The service was a little slow but the food was worth the wait and made up for everything. This aint your fancy Mexican place to take your friends and family to . But if you are a food lover and love authenticity, this should be your go to place . Highly recommended!!
