Always a great tapas experience at Penninsula. The broth is a must have no matter which type of seasonal broth they're currently serving. The food is always interesting and well balanced and the portion size is perfect for ordering a variety of dishes. We always leave satiated and debating what the best dish was. Peninsula will definitely be in our regular rotation.

Out of towner. Went early on a Saturday evening. Greeted by the owner, who was extremely personable and gave some great background on the restaurant menu and origin. It definitely helps to be an adventurous eater when dining here. You aren’t going to get anything run of the mill or “classics”. Be prepared to share plates and experience every dish you can. Each dish is unique. We sat for two hours and tasted everything on the menu. Everyone had their personal favorites. My recommendation would be the Kohlrabi and Octopus. Go and enjoy a unique experience! Highly recommend.

I learned of Peninsula in the Nashville Subreddit. The post recommended the place and it had positive and a few negative comments. Me and my wife dined there last night. All I can say is it was a phenomenal dinner. I do not like beets at all, they taste like dirt to me. The beet dish was so good I could have licked the plate if it was socially acceptable! There were some comments about pricing that it was high. The flavors, service and cocktails were absolutely worth it. Five plates, four cocktails and desert was 240 tax included. Oh, and the dessert, it was the white chocolate offering. Absolutely delicious.

Peninsula is an exquisite dining experience where, for a second, you will feel you are on the set of "The Menu", the fine dining experience and exquisite dishes you get. Reasonable prices for the quality and melange of flavors you are getting. Highly recommend for a date night or a nice night out with friends

How have I not been here before? I’m not great at writing restaurant reviews, so I’ll keep it simple. Every dish was exquisite, especially the Iberico Pork and spiralized beets. I wish someone had told me what I was missing. There may be trendier restaurants in Nashville (like that one with an ‘L’ in 12 South), but their food really does not compare.

World-class cuisine and beverage program. This is NOT a pedestrian/standard American/Western cuisine. The menu will push you and stretch your palate. Each time we’ve been, one of the owners (Craig) sits down with us to chat. These folks are passionate! We have taken friends from San Francisco and they agreed that Peninsula is every bit as good as the top restaurants in the Bay Area or any larger market. It’s a privilege to have this locally owned restaurant in East Nashville. When dining at Peninsula, it is an experience—not just a meal. Phenomenal.

I’ve been wanting to come here for years and in my mind it was a stuffy upscale version of a tapas bar. What a mistaken impression that was of an amazing restaurant. First of all the atmosphere is not large and stuffy at all, but small and welcoming. The cocktails are inventive, the wine list extensive. However the food is the star and it shines bright. Dish after dish lite up my taste buds with rich flavor, and brilliant acidity. The owner walked us through the menu, making sure we didn’t miss stars like the Kohlrabi, scallops from Hokkaido and a chewy rice dish. From savory to sweet the flavors were inventive and exciting. The only restaurant so far in the league of this establishment, for me, is Locust.

This place is so good it's hard to describe in words. Everything from the drinks to dessert are on point. They change the menu up depending on the season. This time we went, all the options were gluten-free except for one dessert.

Extremely unique and delicious tapas. Definitely a memorable dining experience. Food came out quick and the hostess was super sweet. Nice atmosphere too. Would come back again if the menu was different. It looks like it changes by the season? Not too sure though. First day in Nashville, and so far the food has been awesome.
