Love this place! The quirky atmosphere, the fantastic coffees and snacks, and the overall kindness and outgoing staff make this a place you want to spend a significant amount of time and money. Thanks JR for embracing this timeless monument and keeping her true to her history.

The menu & food from the past was better. Understand the food is not bad, they cook it well, there just used to be better options. The Atmosphere & Service was great. Note: I'm a chef & I used to cook & work the bar.

This place instantly gave off a chill vibe. Like being at the stoner's frat house. To me, that's a good thing. The food was remarkable. I had a turkey sandwich with swiss and avacado. Well, it was supposed to be avacado, but it was guacamole. Which many know is a pureed avacado with pico. It worked, but I had really craved fresh avacado. The service was friendly and light-hearted. He really made the experience work. His demeanor and personality put me at ease immediately and never made me feel rushed or unwelcome. In fact, I would say he was the star of my experience. They have an outdoor patio, which was a boone. Had I not spent most of the last two days outside, I would have languished out there. This would be a great place to gather with friends or as a follow-up date.

I’m petsitting at a nearby apartment complex and decided to walk over to Cafe Coco for breakfast for the first time in a few years. My coffee was made right away, and I had the nicest conversation with Constance while I waited for my food to come out! Such a lovely experience.

I've been coming to this coffee shop since the 90s and ownership has changed a couple of times since then of course, as you do. This is still a good place to have a quick meeting, study for midterms, or meet up with a friend. Coffee and baked goods are always good, and they have a good but small beer selection. The food menu is not as good as it has been in previous years, and I'm still upset this place isn't 24 hrs anymore, but the patio is still a nice place to take a break while you're in midtown, and there are still friends to be made on the back porch. 👍

Nice breakfast place. There was only one person we saw working on a Saturday, but service was still fast. Tater tots were great. Waffle was okay.

This place is super cute and the service is delightful. I think it was Adam who helped me and I had an amazing dirty chai per his recommendation. Along with some food to go. They were very generous portions and it was very tasty I highly recommend them. And the tots are to die for.

Excellent breakfast option over by Vandy. Was in town for a conference an didn't want to stay downtown in the chaos so stayed by Vanderbilt University. Much less chaotic than downtown. We found this brekky option a short walk from our hotel and had an excellent meal and coffee. We has The Nashville and The Mobster. Both are absolutely massive and delicious. Our server/barista was very friendly and we sat in the back room that clearly is where the live music is played at nights. Very cool building.

Stayed at a nearby hostel and found this place open later on a Wed night so we walked there to grab some food. The staff was super nice and we got to catch some live music from a jamming band named Five Ton Faces! We were told Thur nights was open mic too, wish I could’ve stayed to listen. We ordered our food and sat in the back for the music. The food came really fast and the portions were generous. My group loved the burger, wrap, and sandwich they ordered. My avocado cobb salad was divine! I subbed the feta for Gouda and got dressing on the side. Prices were excellent too. Very happy we stopped by and would definitely come back again if I’m in Nashville. Check it out! :)
