Urban Cookhouse

This was my first time visiting in Nashville, the hotel I was a guest in was not providing room service and the restaurant was closed. I asked around for suggestions, but decided to order in. I was intrigued by the great reviews. Let me tell you…exceeded my expectations! Everything was fresh, presentation was pristine, and everything tasted wonderful! I was really starving so didn’t get any photos😂 but I had the shrimp kabobs, side of pasta salad, small pepper patch and berry salad👌🏾 Generous portions…I couldn’t even eat half of it😂 Worth every penny! Oh yeah and your delivery guy forgot the water🤷🏾‍♀️ but the food far outweighed the missing water😉

Apparently Sunday afternoon when they're doing construction nearby is a pretty quiet time at Urban Cookhouse. I was the only customer there! Staff was super welcoming and friendly, though. I had the Urban Cowboy, which was perfect! The mac and cheese was just OK, but I'm not. Mac and cheese fan and should have known better. More people arrived by the time I left, which felt less awkward. Overall, great food, decent atmosphere. I'll swing by again next time I'm in town.

Decided to give Urban Cookhouse a try on our way to the beach. Hubby had crunchy roast chicken with apple slaw, roasted vegetables on the side. I had the BLT and tomato basil soup. Everything was so delicious, homemade, a special treat. great menu variety. I'm so glad we stopped here. Friendly place, great staff. Hubby could not wait for me to take the picture. We got there late, amazingly clean, floors, tables, and restrooms even after a whole day!

Stopped by for a late Sunday lunch. I was a little worried as there was only 1 other party there, but it was an odd time. Walked in and was immediately and warmly greeted. She explained their menu and made some recommendations. I liked the salad and sandwich options as they had the same ingredients, just in another form. Ordered the Local Mix salad and the Berry Good wrap. Salad came out after about 5 minutes, but the wrap took about 20 minutes. It wasn't crowded, so I think they forgot, but it was an honest mistake as overall service was great. To make up for the wait, the server brought out a little brownie which was a good gesture for the wait. Both the wrap and salad were really good. They were put together well and full of fresh & local ingredients. Great way to support the local farmers. Good place to come for fresh food that supports the local community.
