I wish I could give more than 5 stars! We were introduced to Calypso catering in Feb 2019 when they catered at one of our friend's welcome dinners as part of a wedding weekend. The food was great! We opted to have Calypso cater for our wedding welcome dinner on 10.13.23. Michael was amazing to work with. He responded quickly and clearly to emails and would provide regularly updated quotes, as requested. He arrived right on time and set up all the food. Michael also made sure they brought signs to indicate names of food with dietary labels (gluten-free, vegetarian). We had MANY compliments on the food (pulled chicken, house salad, beans, rice, calypso bars). The food is delicious and very reasonably priced for catering. I don't think you'll find a better catering option in Nashville.

I have been a fan of this place for a long time. Unfortunately the location closest to me was closed. After that I didn't eat at another location for a long time, until today. I was NOT dissatisfied at all. Still the same outstanding quality, affordable pricing and friendly staff I had come to know years ago.

First time here. Had the BBQ white chicken plate with black beans and rice. BBQ sauce has a bit of zing to it, but not too much. Chicken was excellent. Service was good - attentive without being overpowering.

Great place for eats. Rotisserie chicken is amazing. The Callalou is even better. You may not notice this place as you pass by on the road. It is in the bottom level of a building and it can be easily passed by and not seen. There is a sign out front but it is not real big.

Either carry-out or dine in, it's a great, relatively inexpensive, quick, and healthy spot. Their curry sauce is awesome too. Definitely a casual space with plenty of seating and decent amount of parking (20ish spots) outside. Even during a rush, they're really quick to get your food.

Great service. Delicious food. Couldn't have been a more pleasant dining experience. I plan to return often. It really is a fabric of Nashville place. If you are visiting, then don't miss this place. Fast, reasonable, cool, and delicious.

I had a wonderful experience at Calypso this past weekend. Our server, Robert had the best energy and set the bar high for the customer service we should receive while in Nashville. I was a fan of the bean and corn salad, the Martinique callaloo greens and the spiced sweet potatoes. I did not enjoy the veggie burger which is why my rating is 4 stars.

Quite possibly my most favorite restaurant ever (and that’s not me being dramatic). They have an extensive menu but I literally order the same thing every time (only place I ever do that at).
Food is always fresh, delicious, and flys out of the kitchen.
Most of the staff have been there for many years and you know what you’re going to get every time you walk in. Seriously - what’s not to like? Ok, parking can be challenging - show up earlier!
