Gigi's Cupcakes

Ran by the original Gigi's cupcakes downtown on Broadway on Sunday afternoon. There were a couple of carmel turtle and chocolate turtle cheesecakes. There were many more cupcakes, but I still always find myself wishing there were more flavors available. HURRY PUMPKIN lovers! Pumpkin Spice is in & is it ever pumpkin! Lots of cream cheese frosting with clear flavors of cinnamon and pumpkin (hint of nutmeg?) with flecks of pumpkin cake top the cupcake. The price of over $3.00 is well worth it for this seasonal cupcake. Parking is still tight, but enough for us to stay long enough to eat our treats & drink coffee or bottled drinks available. Always fresh!

Best cupcake I've ever had (white midnight something or other - recommended by the server). The cheesecake was also amazing - creamy and rich but not heavy. What a great dessert to have if you still have room after Hattie Bs hot chicken next door. Pricing is gourmet but not outrageous and for the quality its great. I was happy to see gluten friendly options as well as some handmade items like Gigis daughters homemade slime for sale! Great little spot

The only thing I hate about this place is the location since it's on a corner, on a busy street. Other than that, I love it. Sampled a few cupcakes there but my favorite were the blueberry lemon and wedding cake. The frosting is light and not too sweet or stick to the the roof of your mouth which is a plus for me. The cupcakes itself are sturdy yet soft when you bite in. Glad I stopped by, they are just as good as my favorite bake shop in Colorado.

I made my weekly trip to Gigi's Broadway today and was so pleasantly pleased to see the renovations. Good job, indeed! Every time I enter the shop, I am greeted with, "Hello! Welcome to Gigi's!" Never have I seen a less than pleasant and professional employee. Because of the positive demeanor of the entire staff, I'm sure this is an excellent work environment. I have been to Gigi's across the country, and this is my favorite store to visit. If I could give it more than five stars, I certainly would. Keep up the excellent work!

This place is great and definitely a fun place to stop while in Nashville! The cupcakes taste amazing and their flavor choices are really fun and unique. Be sure to check their website each day for the "Flavors of the Day" and grab a handful of cupcakes when you go to the store. The location is convenient, and right now some repairs are going on inside the store. They are still open, but selling cupcakes from their mobile store inside an RV. Prices are slightly higher than most, but the quality is great. Lots of people complain about the amount of icing, which is confusing to me. Take it OFF the cupcake if you don't like that much icing. If they didn't put enough on, people would complain as well.

After a glowing recommendation from my hotel's staff, I decided to check this place out. The place is a bit small, but very homey. As I waited in line, I surveyed the other customers as to their favorite cupcake. While they all had different choices, their opinion of Gigi's was that it was outstanding. I selected two cupcakes for my initial research, then went back twice more to collect additional data. Their cupcakes are so fresh you're tempted to slap them! The cake is ever so moist and the frosting piled high; absolutely delicious. Bring a friend or two so you can share different varieties. Highly recommended.
