Le Vin Papillon

Excellent meal with even better service. We were new to the restaurant and received great recommendations for both wine and food from our server. The vibe is casual, yet refined with plates reminiscent of a Michelin starred kitchen rather than the small open environment where everything was prepared. Plates were fresh and vibrant, matching the atmosphere.

Fabulous food showcasing local ingredients like Quebec Asparagus, Sweet peas and Morel mushrooms. Lots of fish, vegetarian and also some meat dishes. Excellent wine selection and very knowledgeable wait staff for suggestions on pairing. I was surprised to learn that they take Reservations now, since they didn't used to, but we were lucky to get seat anyway. Beautiful patio in the back as well.

Simply one of the best restaurant in Montréal! Really, never been disappointed. For food and wine lovers, this is a place that you would need to visit. Each plate is well prepared and thought. It is so nice to be able to share and try different dishes. Nice outdoor terrasse. No reservations possible, so need to plan to get there early. Magnifique restaurant. Jamais déçue. Florence notre serveuse a ajouté à cette belle expérience gustative avec ses recommandations de vin et sa gentillesse. On a passé une magnifique soirée!

Amazing! The food was so good but the service was by far the friendliest and most warm I have had in a very long time!! Florence and the bartender were both incredible and every other staff I witnessed had a warm smile and so helpful. Florence helped me translate the French menu (I only speak English) line by line…gave great recommendations and was so sweet. A wonderful night. Casual yet such high end food and cozy digs. Radicchio salad is the bomb and the sweetbreads were next level. I wish I could recall my waitresses name, it was French and too hard for my American dialect to recall, she was so great. Just go!!

Marianne was our waitress and she was wonderful. My husband and I came in and asked her to surprise us with whatever food and wine she thinks we should have, and she delivered the most perfect meal. The rest of the staff were also so lovely as well. Highly recommend this place overall; but I also recommend letting the staff guide you through a food journey.
