Damas Restaurant

Definitely a great place to try middle eastern food. We tried a few things, the cheese bureck and the lamb were AMAZING. Prices are high and I think this is the main reason not to give 5 stars. Syrian food and middle eastern food and hospitality is known to be generous welcoming and affordable. I realize that this is a high end place but it’s a bit too much. Also, if you choose to seat outside it’s definitely a different experience than sitting inside. The inside decor and atmosphere is way nicer. Outside seating is on regular plastic chairs which is not appropriate to a place like this and the decor is minimal.

Amazing restaurant - highly recommend. It’s generous fine-dining, which is extremely rare. The quality of the food is phenomenal; the flavours are amazing and the staff takes such good care of you, they’re super attentive and extremely hygienic. The restaurant decor is so authentic and beautiful. One of my favourite restaurants. Amazing experience, always.

This was my first time here and it’s now my favourite restaurant in Canada. Excellent food and service! Highly recommend the lamb (all of them)! For dessert I chose the ice cream because we had already eaten too much. I usually don’t order ice cream for dessert, but this time I didn’t regret about it. It was a really nice surprise.

A perfect meal and experience at Damas, as always. The cocktails are impeccable (especially the Ginger Rose Fizz), the dishes are gorgeous and delicious, and the service is amazing. In particular, John was incredibly thoughtful in explaining the menu, recommending dishes, and selecting a beautiful wine for us. While the meal and restaurant are amazing unto themselves, it was truly his service that made the experience so special. Easily my favourite restaurant in Montreal, it just doesn’t get better than this!!

R u middle eastern and you miss home, come here and you will never regret it. The waiters, food and the ambiance it will exceed your expectations. The only bad thing about it, is that you need a reservation before you visit them. Which almost always full especially if you like me looking for a reservation at the last minute. Totally worth the visit.

Hands down the best food ever. You won't be disappointed. We sat by the bar, we were taken very good care of. Service was amazing, and the food well I have no words to describe how amazing it tasted. We did the tasting menu and they managed to customize some of the meals because we don't eat lamb. Drinks were on point! This restaurant is a must when visiting Montreal!

Absolutely magnificent. Our server George was incredible, he was very patient explaining the menu in great detail and answering all the questions we had regarding the dishes. The food was incredible and every dish was cooked to perfection. The ambiance and feel of the restaurant was nice as well, the decor was very nice. I'm a huge fan of Damas and I will definitely be spreading the word.

Best food I have ever tasted. We chose the menu dégustation with the wine pairing and it was just perfect. The service was wonderful. We were supposed to have the table for 2h30, but we ended up staying a little over 3h and no one said anything. I highly recommend it, but make reservations in advance!
