Ribs tasted old. Brisket sandwich was way too dry. Baked potato was old and overcooked. Fried okra was good as was potato salad. The service was good. No complaints there. I will probably never go back though. Overpriced sub par food.

I was a little disappointed in this location. The food was mediocre at best, and the staff seemed to know it, as their attitudes were of those who took no pride in their job. I also was expecting the portions of other dickey's I've been to, but was depressed to see much less than what I was hoping for. The iced tea is always good though. The cups just aren't big enough to get enough of that tea.

My wife drove there this evening to get 2 Smokehouse salads & a 1/2lb of sliced beef brisket. Their fryer was broken, so no onion tanglers in the salads.
Upon arriving home, I opened up my salad and there was at most 1/4th cup of beef brisket on it. Barely any. With two fork fulls, I had eaten all of it and all that was left was a little shredded cheese and lettuce.
This location has been getting worse everytime we occasionally visit it.
$33 for two salads and cold beef brisket is ridiculous.
I don't recommend anyone to go here. Take the extra time to drive to the Riverbank location. Obviously the management and employees at the McHenry doesn't care about meeting the customer's needs or even reaching the expectations that Dickeys would want them to attain to.
If there was a half star rating available, I'd give them that.

Absolutely the best experience I've had in my entire life at any Dickey's and I've been to a lot of Dickey's this one rules! The food is great the staff is absolutely the best, in the fro yo is soft and creamy! Craig and Scott are the apidimy of management royalty!

Never again.!!! Dining room full of flies. Expensive. Small portions. Chicken was dry like it was cooked 2 days ago and reheated for me for $13 no thanks. Caesar salad in a styrofoam cup meant for potato salad. Literally had 5 pieces of lettuce. That salad would be to small for a child.

I asked if the chicken was indeed smoked and employee said yes, they smoke it and pointed to oven they apparently smoke it in. It is boiled chicken with almost no smoked taste. I was really surprised that they lied to me. This place is always empty when I drive by and now I know why. Why Modesto cannot have true smoked chicken? Only Stockton has this?? The Mexicans should really get busy with creating a place where they BBQ/Smoke the whole chicken. It is needed in Modesto.

If you want great barbecue go to Carmens in Tracy they've been around since the 70's the original store is on a street in Hayward California they have one in Fremont to best barbecue I have ever ate. If you hit the Hayward store talk to Carmen Kelly tell her bill sent you!
