The best sushi place in town. Customer service is exceptional, always greeted and treated like one of their own. Food always tastes fresh and great. Good prices. We regret going anywhere else when these guys are closed.

What a wonderfully delicious place to pop in and enjoy some great food and exceptional service. I highly, highly recommend the Hot and Spicy Ramen and don't let the name fool you because the hot and spice are not overbearing at all and in fact is simply, yet complex, flavor. I cannot be more pleased. Talk about comfort food! George is a great person and his wife Holly serves up the deliciousness! Located on J street in downtown Modesto. Pop in and give it a try. You'll be glad you did.

I love this place. My husband and I found it randomly one night going to to the movies. It’s a small hidden spot with the best food ever. I’m normally picky when it comes to Chinese food but the best of it is here and to top it off they also have the best Japanese food. And don’t get me started on their sake 👌🏼. Amazing all around including the staff. Always so friendly. I highly recommend this place. Prefect little spot in Modesto.

Honestly such a cute and homie feel! The restaurant itself has an incredibly friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The owners were literally the sweetest people on earth and I've never has such great service! The food is absolutely amazing and came out quickly. Would definitely go to this place again!

My experience was welcomed by a nice presence when I walked in and I order my food. I got my order in a fast polite manner in which it was really good. I got the sweet and sour pork and pork was so crunchy with so much flavor and my chow mein was so smooth and delicous. My egg roll i got was so fresh, crunchy, and fluffy that it was to die for. I love this place now that I went and I'll definitely go again real soon.

Awesome locally owned restaurant. I've eaten here hundreds of time since 1999 and I've never had a bad meal. The owner George is the best.

I can’t believe it’s been almost 20 years since I first ate at Tokyo Express and I’ve never before left a review.
I love the food and the staff are wonderful. I used to eat here so regularly that Tony had my order memorized.
My favorites are Szechuan shrimp and kung pao shrimp.
Takeaway orders are always fast, correct, well packaged, and HOT.
