Disappointed. We were so excited that they were back open went around 7pm on a Saturday. The hostess walked past us a few times ignoring us but we were patient. Finally she came to the hostess stand and told is they would not be able to serve us because they were far too busy and under staffed. Also she blamed the cook for not being able to keep up amd stated he was not doing a very good job. The dinning room was the only room being used and was not full. I understand that my be out of anyone's control but it was just two of us and restaurant wasn't set to close until 9pm. We used to come to Surlas prior to Covid.. hoping things get better. Not a good experience.

This place is good for a nice cocktail and appetizer during happy hour. The entrees are decent but a little overpriced. We went for a prix fix dinner for Valentines day last year. We got placed at a weird table that is kind of in the way. We asked to be moved but they would not do it even though there were plenty of tables open. We still go there every few months but still have the same opinion about the place.
