Tiscapa Fritanga

We were searching for a lunch spot in Little Havana and stumbled across this place. Owner / manager that helped us decide on our lunch choices was very hospitable. Heaping plate of good food for a very reasonable price. Fried plantains and cheese were both fantastic. Left very satisfied with the lunch and overall experience.

Over all good experience. We came to Miami on vacation and wanted authentic Cuban food. I'm not sure that that's what we got after reading some , wof Howeverthese reviews. They gave us a ton of food for a great price. Food was good. Customer service was good. If you do not speak Spanish, you will need an interpreter.

If I couls give zero stars, I would. Thats how terrible this place is. One of the worst if not the worst fritanga in miami in my experience. Their grilled chicken is almost always undecooked and disgusting in the center. Their carne asada is whatever, overpriced drinks ($5.50 for a cacao?! Lols I have never paid more than $3.50 for a large), all their food looks disgusting and astonomically greasy. The service is the worst service I have ever had in a fritanga, every time. Its like they coulnt give a rats ass about you. They always looms miserable and annoyed to be working. The last straw was when I ordered a nacatamal and the meat was rotten. ROTTEN. I went back and they told me it was impossible because they were made the night before. Yeah, made with rotten meat. I have never been so upset at an establishment and my family has ordered there for years since I was a kid. At one point they were good but for the last couple of years, they are utter garbage, plain and simple. Being a nicaraguan, they are an insult to my culture and I refuse to get food from there even if my family wants to (they do so becuase in all honesty, almost all the latin restaurants in little havana should be reprimanded for not following health code so its hard pickings for fritangas. Now they dont go anymore because their grilled pork the last 2 times were undercooked. Ew.) Steer clear unless you want to sue for food poisoning.
