Karla Bakery

Take a good look at these pictures and the address. I don't know about other locations but at this location nothing is fresh everything is frozen. The staff was friendly enough and I don't blame them, shame on the owners with signs that boast "3 generations perfectingthe dough" I think that's how long the dough has been in the freezer. There is nothing Cuban about the taste. Our empanadas had just been made and when we bit into them there was still ice in the middle.

I have always liked going to Karla Bakery for the quality of its products and cuisine, but for some time now they have changed a lot of personnel and I don't know if they are not trained well or what. The Cuban sandwich is not the same, neither the cut nor the amount of ham and cheese that it had. They were two liquid slices of ham and cheese. The boiling coffee that burned my lip and tongue that is a pity not to be able to put the photo. That was what happened today and I still can't eat. And the silly questions, what if I didn't ask for it lukewarm, ?? What if I didn't feel it in the glass that was so hot? Etc ... please !! Those machines are at the right temperature, the coffee is not boiling, they don't even give me a napkin. And that there were no clients, only I was there, there were five people working than clients. And it was tremendously burned that I still can't eat the one he gave me ... it's not the same anymore. Since the Cuban staff left, the other Latin girls of another nationality do not give one at all ... it is my thinking, I have been going there for the two years of the pandemic, but forgive me, this year the attention and the quality of their products with the new staff who have one year to this part.

This location doesn’t even have there coffee machine on in the morning, what Cuban bakery doesn’t have it on ?! I waited about 7 minutes just for coffee. And when I got it the coffee was maybe room temperature warm, when I informed him it wasn’t even hot he said yea I can kinda warm it up for you. All my other items were already cold by the time the coffee was done. He was also living very slow. I had to heat the coffee at work just was coldish in the car to even drink it. For such a small place they really need to get there act together ! Most likely won’t be going back.

I came across this small cuban establishment quite by chance, but I am glad I did. I have been several times now. Once there was a young male employee making coffee and he was a bit slow, but then again I am in no rush most days. I found everything to be fresh and very tasty. Delicious Pastelitos, all flavors. Cittadino was hot and with good flavor. Over all I found the service to be good and friendly and no issues with communication as I speak only English. Keep up the great work!

Unfortunately, I would not recommend this bakery. Service was very slow despite being the only one there. New employee, had to repeat my order several times and it was still wrong. Cafe con leche was horrible, not sure how that could go wrong, but we literally could not drink it, and the croquetas left much to be desired. Unfortunate because this bakery is very close to my house, but I will not be returning.
