I see some of the reviews are kinda mixed for this place, but they’ve never missed for me.
The food is good, the sauces really pair great with the chicken and fries. The Chaufa is great, and they give you A LOT of it.
I’ve been ordering for years.

Delicious Peruvian food. Loved the fish. The only downside is that you have to get your food from the register.

Restaurant is affordable. The dish we ordered was really tasty. The service is fast as well. I will definitely be ordering more from them.

We visited this Peruvian restaurant, and I must say, it was an extraordinary experience. The vibrant flavors of traditional Peruvian cuisine were expertly showcased in every dish. From the ceviche bursting with freshness to the tender and flavorful lomo saltado, the culinary journey was exceptional. The restaurant truly captures the essence of Peruvian culture through its delectable offerings.

One Saturday night as we returned from the movie theater travelingsouth on 117th Ave, for some reason we turned our gase to the shopping plaza where the most vehicles were accumulated and saw the Name El Tambo Grill. We looked at each other and thought "hum, might be woth it to try". So we turned in and headed for the front door of the establishment. The place seamed lively. Most of the tables were occupied. Clear indications this Perruvian Restaurant was the right choice tonight. We ordered ,lomo salteado and it was all I was expecting. The sause was on point. I will be visiting this Restaurant with my friends and family again in the future. Good

Mostly quite delicious! The items I ordered were the Pollo a la Brasa, Salchipapas (hotdog and fries), arroz chaufa de pollo, and the aguadito de pollo (soup). The pollo a la Brasa was absolutely tasty. As of the date of posting, it is the 4th best Pollo a la Brasa that I have tasted when comparing close to 50 other chicken restaurants in the east of America. Supposedly, they use the same machines to make the rotisserie chicken, so that's why their Pollo a la Brasa is top notch. In addition, the Salchipapas are the best I've ever had; juicy, a little too salty, big, and the portion was good for the price. Unfortunately, the Arroz chaufa de pollo (chicken fried rice) was extremely decent. It was certainly below my mother's peruvian cooking. The aguadito was very bland; the poorest of all the choices we had.
Overall, it's a good peruvian restaurant that I would recommend for the Pollo a la Brasa and that only. If you want to eat scrumptious and more authentic peruvian dishes, you can most certainly find other restaurants, especially in Miami.

For Peruvians and people who have traveled to Lima, Peru, they must know how you can find a Rotisserie Chicken place almost anywhere in Lima, like, it'd be a 5 minute walk from wherever you are, and if you want to remember the taste of a good peruvian rotisserie chicken, then El Tambo Grill is your choice. Located in the Sunset Dr. (72nd street) and 117th Avenue, this place prepares one of the best (if not the best) Peruvian rotisserie chicken (in Spanish Pollo a la Brasa) in Miami. Eating in this place won't be a disappointment, a must go for everyone who loves Peruvian food, specially Pollo a la Brasa.
Edit: it's been a while since I visited El Tambo, 2 years since my last review, and the score remains the same for me. 5 stars, great menu, the pollo a la brasa still great, the size of the plates is amazing, and the price is good. Definitely one of the best Peruvian restaurants of Miami, where you can actually eat Peruvian food. I've been in other places that said we're Peruvian restaurants but their food packed the Peruvian touch that would leave you satisfied, not El Tambo though, you'll definitely be satisfied eating here.
