The food was good. Yes, it doesn’t look very appealing but the portion was fair and curries were tasty for the price we paid. Obviously the owner doesn’t care about any improvements or presentation. But it was a great contrast to hipster places in the area 😆 It’s not a meal to come back for, but it was still good, a bit spicy though. They also don’t accept cards, cash only

Last time I was there was over 10 years ago and the owner still remembered who I was. Don't go there for decor or flair or an extensive menu but it's so worth going in. The food tastes homemade and is wonderfully spicy and full of flavour. They still do rice and 3 curries with about 5 to 6 curry selections to choose from including boneless tender lamb and chicken. Lots of veggie options as well. I used to be a regular years ago, that's how good it was and still is. Very much worth a visit for the food if you work in town or even visiting.

Probably the tastiest plate of food I have eaten in a long, long time. Went here on the recommendation of a colleague, and I'm glad I did. Definitely no frills on the presentation or decor, but don't let that put you off. Best daal I've had anywhere, ever. And the meat and other veg were all good too.
