Embankments Floating Restaurant

I thought surf and turf was a big lump of steak? Battered fish served with chips, peas, grilled tomato and mushrooms. How wrong I was; introducing Embankment Bar & Restaurant. A food sensation on a big barge in central Maidstone. When you arrive take a look at the surf and turf options immediately. The default meat and seafood combinations have been selected for a reason, they work. They are delivered with garnishes, sauces and vegetables that beautifully compliment each other. The dining experience is clean, bright and somewhat intimate given its humble size. The staff are bubbly, chatty and polite. Prices are commensurate to quality and food here is of high quality. Please go out your way, pop to the riverside and try the best surf and turf in the country.

Service was really good, food was surprisingly good. Music was lively with a live singer later in the evening. I would imagine it would be a really nice setting on a summer's evening. Decor was ok (could maybe do with a little bit of maintenance if I was being harsh) and the toilet was a bit small but these are really minor points.

Lovely food and good quality. Worth the price too. Such a great atmosphere when walking into the restaurant, lovely outside seating area to watch the boats drive by. Listening to the reggae singer was also lovely. All staff very friendly, even though our waitress did muck up our meals but that was ok. Gave 4 stars as the bathroom taps didn’t work but that was the only negative. Other than that we had such a great evening..

Me & Hubs had the Seabass it was so Scrummy, Daughter had Lamb 👍Boyfriend had Chicken 👍Grandson had Ribs👍Food was Spot on Staff where Great really friendly & Fab Service. And the Entertainment was Wicked all of us Thoroughly enjoyed our Evening 👍
