Decent ambiance Food was poor, though. I ordered the hamburguesa ibérica al punto (medium) and it was very well done and just a sad little burger. The jamon on top of the beef was almost a saving grace, but couldn't really jump out from an oversized bun and a dry beef patty that tool a lot of effort to chew and a lot of water to swallow.

This place serves up breakfast, lunch & dinner, but I stopped by for a light breakfast. Tucked away on calle de Fuencarral, I needed a place to grab a bite and some peace and quiet. It was quiet and was told to have a seat. Glanced at the menu and kept it simple, a cafe con leche and croissant. The cafe con leche was the caffeine kick I needed. The croissant was okay. Plus, they have free wifi, so I was able to get some work done on that quiet morning.

we had walked by this restaurant quite a few times and it was a nice place to sit in a cooler evening as we were right by the window but not completely outside. we started with the ravioli to share, and this was such a creamy, delicious, cheesy ravioli with a very light cream sauce and a perfect starter to the meal. we had previously eaten a number of tapas so decided to order some flavors we hadn't had in a while. i had the duck leg, which was a very nicely cooked confit portion with a complimentary sauce. my husband chose the ribs and we thought these were cooked quite well with seared fat and great sauce. i loved the overall decor and ambiance and this was a great find for us.

What a cute, amazing spot amongst many excellent dining choices in the Melasaña/Chueca areas. Both me and my partner had a great experience. Good service. Excellent food. Wonderful ambiance. The location is beautiful and amidst all the wonderful nightlife of the area. We had the fried veggies to start, and it was ok...until you took in the sauce and soy that came with it + wine = made it AMAZING! I had the tuna tataki and it was well prepared with a great sea salt addition plus soy, pepper, and tomato to make it amazing. My partner had a great salmon dish. The wine was great, and affordable. Overall, great experience! Love it! Keep up the great work!

I just dined here this evening with my partner, and enjoyed an excellent meal. The service was well above the typical experience in Madrid, the food perfectly prepared (and not over seasoned in true Spanish style), and the prices incredibly reasonable. Not to mention the ambiance: the decor is modern and clean. I highly recommend! I ordered the baked salmon and my partner the tuna.

Mérimée has a nice menu of the day for only €11, it changes daily, but typically has the same items each day. After living in Malasaña for the past few months, I felt it would be a great place to bring my parents when they visited. First, the food is okay, but nothing special and it was quite bland. The portions are generous though. As for the service, I know how it works in Spain, but this was literally the worst service I've experienced in Spain. It took quite awhile to have someone attend us after they sat us down and the restaurant was not at all busy. Then after we had our appetizers, no one came to us for 25 minutes. We said we were ready for our main dish and told a new waiter (ours disappeared) what we had (chicken and salmon). The waiter then returned 10 minutes later with our check. My dad and I speak Spanish very well, so there shouldn't have been any miscommunication. He then asked again what we wanted, still chicken and salmon, and finally got our plates about 15 minutes after that, but the food wasn't hot. Even though the menu of the day included dessert, we didn't want to wait another 30 minutes for it to come out. A bit bummed about our experience as I was hoping for something much better. So food was ok, service was poor, but the ambience was good! However, we will not return there and wouldn't recommend it.

A rare bad meal during our two weeks in Spain. We came looking for some modern fare and this restaurant seemed to fit the bill with its hipster-chic decor - wrong we were! The food misses throughly - their salmon and tuna was chewy, the salad / tomatoes tasteless, and dessert was literally a cup of cream cheese (not a cream cheese based dessert) with a berry topping. Add to that some super disorganized service (multiple people taking our orders and then they tried to serve us coffee/dessert after our appetizer) and this a definite no go!

Estupenda experiencia en este agradable restaurante. Un servicio muy agradable y atento. En un ambiente relajado y con una música muy agradable, te atienden con una sonrisa y con eficiencia. Los platos son generosos y muy sabrosos. Un precio muy acertado, casi económico. La decoración es muy bonita, te ayuda a relajarte en el Ajetreo de Madrid

Estupendo lugar para comer. Tiene toda la fachada de puertas acristaladas abatibles, con lo cual, la ventilación es muy buena. El camarero no puede ser más amable. Su atención es de 10. Las comida tiene una muy buena relación calidad-precio. Platos muy bien servidos y variedad. Os recomiendo las costillas y el risoto, son espectaculares. Las coca-colas son del formato grande. Puede parecer una tontería este detalle, pero viendo el precio al que están en los bares los refrescos, qué mínimo que para comer te pongan una en condiciones. Repetiremos.

En pleno centro, comida mediterránea de calidad y nada cara para lo que es. Además entre semana hay menú del día (viernes incluido) a la hora de comer. La decoración es muy bonita y tardan 0 en atenderte y traerte la comida. Aunque parezca un local pequeño, tiene dos plantas, por lo que el aforo es bastante. Nos pedimos los huevos Rotos para compartir, todo un acierto porque estaban buenísimos, con sabor a trufa y jamón que se notaba de calidad. De segundos el bao (el pan me supo raro, he probado pan de bao en otros sitios y me ha gustado más, creo que estaba un poco crudo pero aún así el relleno estaba exquisito), y la hamburguesa con pimiento, cebolla caramelizada y queso brie (un 10). Para terminar la tarta de chocolate con lacasitos, realmente buena si te gusta el sabor intenso a chocolate.

Fuimos de improviso el sábado 6 de abril y nos dieron una mesa super rapido sin tener reserva, la verdad que ya me había resignado a cenar a las 12 de la espera que había en toda la zona, pero fueron muy atentos. Fuimos 3 personas y TODO super rico, desde la sangría hasta el postre, buenísimo. Los precios son adecuados para lo que sirven, lo recomiendo 100%. Me he vuelto adicta al risotto desde entonces. Todos los camareros son muy amables y atentos. Me enamoré de este sitio.

Es un restaurante con una decoración muy agradable y con dos pisos, lo malo es que en el piso de abajo no hay nada de cobertura. Hay mucha variedad de platos y en concreto los baos de rabo de toro están muy ricos. Hay una buena relación cantidad/precio. La tarta de queso está buena pero no es tan cremosa como en otros sitios.
