The food is wonderful. The ambiance elegant and sophisticated. The owners, who are constantly engaging with patrons as maitres d', are real connoisseurs and very charming. Definitely planning to go back in my next trip to Madrid. A delightful dining experience.

Wonderful food!!! The appalling weather in Madrid on Saturday 11th Oct meant there was a cancellation at this wonderful restaurant!! Food top notch - but the staff were even more so!!!!

Do not miss this place if you are in Spain. The lentils are reason enough to go. There is fois in them but they don't really need it. Incredibly savory. They are made with a secret mix of pureed vegetables. Beef chop - get it medium rare, close your eyes and eat it. Some of the best beef I've ever eaten. It is served rare but ignore it. That's the way they serve it in Spain. Scrambled egg fois porcini. Simply an Insane bite of food. Fried artichokes - delicious. Terrific service. Very elegant location. These guys are known as one of the best vegetable restaurants in Madrid. Their extended family runs farms in Navarra, well known for its vegetables.

Great restaurant. Quality is top. We had a reservation in advance, this place is not tourist place, more of a locals. Nice place and food.

In a word: Fabulous! Exemplary service, delicious food, and a sleek, tasteful setting made this our best dining experience in Madrid. The hosts checked by our table several times to check our orders, chat, and make us feel welcome. As this is an asador, the best dishes are prepared on the grill- we opted for the fish offerings but saw other tables being served wonderful looking lamb and beef dishes. And don't miss the torrijas for dessert- this Spanish version of French Toast was worth the visit on its own.

Fantastic experience and amazing food! Minimalist decor which is still quite warm and cozy and somehow keeps the sound in the restaurant to a minimum despite being full. Food was excellent from starters through dessert but dinner was more of an experience with the introductory soup, amazing tomato dish and some of the best olives I've ever had. Fish dishes were superb and rice pudding was unreal. Def go when you're in Madrid but be sure to make a reservation! Btw I loved the fried artichokes and staff was warm and friendly!!!

Some diners will never realize or appreciate how difficult it is to produce simple elegant food with no pretense. This place does it effortlessly in a warm minimalist space (warm minimalism is equally hard to achieve). Couldn't have picked a better place for our last meal in Spain.

This restaurant was sublime. I cannot find a flaw. The service: attentively on-time, friendly, knowledgeable, and charming. The food: beautiful. It's been ages since my mouth was this pleased; body & soul blended - cold to hot, warm to sour, & encouraged more consumption. Not inexpensive, but after such a meal, it shouldn't be considered.

This restaurant is absolutely the bomb. It is quintessential Spanish food. Owners / operators from Navarra (Pamplona). Eat the Chuleton, you won't be disappointed. Ask also the server if there is anything off menu (there always is) that he would recommend - its usually fresh and excellent.

Our top Madrid meal was as this restaurant, run by Juan Miguel Sola and his wife, Anabel. The food is Spanish, but accents vegetables grown in the couple's farm in Galicia. We feasted on white asparagus and boiled artichokes, followed by fresh fish, simply prepared. The modern dining room is beautiful and quiet and the service could not have been more gracious or caring. We can"t wait to return.

You must not miss the restaurant while in Madrid. Juan and Anabel open up their restaurant as if it was their home. The atmosphere is so welcoming and friendly that even this kid from Brooklyn speaking horrible broken spanish was made to feel as an honored guest. Annabel came over to explain the specials in english and we were thrilled. Everything here is so fresh, made with care and most of all...absolutely delicious. The first courses are all about the vegetables - we had the white asparagus, white bean special and red peppers from the farm - each was unique and fantastic. Following the advice of others we had the Chuelton (beef chop), some of the most sublime meat you will ever experience. I keep coming back to the atmosphere created by Juan and Anabel - we went on a Friday night, the place was packed with locals and regulars, but they still both made two tourists feel like they were everyday regulars as well - that type of pride makes great restaurants truly amazing. Do yourself a favor and make this a must stop on any visit to Madrid.

This restaurant was recommended by friends who are locals. We are from Manhattan (NYC) and were traveling through Madrid and had a wonderful evening here. Its a beautiful space, sophisticated, minimalist, but warm. The food and service were really sensational. The owners/chef are from Pamplona, and they did an amazing job with a cutting edge version of traditional food from the north. Standouts that we ordered included the lightly fried anchovies, the artichokes, the thistle, the grilled tuna, the croquettes, and the steak. low key but elegant crowd rounded out the casual yet superb service. We will eat here on every future trip we make to Madrid!
