Relaxed student atmosphere... They have lots of good beers on tap, lots of not so good beers... They have, overall, a great deal of beer. Food is surprisingly good, but it's average pub fare. I've only been during the day, so service is friendly, but so-so (gone for long periods taking care of deliveries, etc).

Good spot. Took a minute or two to get a beer upon sitting down but it was a bit busy so I understand.
Had the Kentucky Bourbon burger. It was so good that I couldn't let go of it and it got me to come in a second time. Chad did recognize me the second time so that was good.
Overall I think they do everything that a good bar/beer spot should do and I probably will be there again sometime in the future.
Expect to pay about $20 or so for a burger and two beers.

Amazing place to get a drink. Their fries seasoned with Parmesan and garlic were awesome too! Loved the open atmosphere and great music. Excellent service. Best bar on State Street that I could find!

Super nice inside, there is a cozy fireplace and it's very clean. You can sub a black bean patty on any of their burgers and it is so good! Best black bean burger I've ever had in Madison. Plus they have Kumbucha on tap!

Great vibe and excellent service. Huge selection of beers. Whereas most places might have one or two dark beers, Mr. Brew's has an entire page. All the stouts I tried were delicious so I have to go back to try the rest!

Fantastic food and service! Consistently one of the better dining options in downtown Madison. Really loved the Fit Menu they had this past weekend, would love to see some of the items be a menu fixture going forward!

I like to eat here with my kids because the kids meals are very reasonably priced. Also, if you download the "Hooked" app, they have $2 off burgers on saturdays. their burgers are good, and i really like their fries! they are thin and crispy.
