Stopped in here on our way out of town. We did not know what to expect with the way ordering is set up. Ended up really enjoying the food (the fish tacos are so good) and our waitress was cool. I don’t remember her name and should have asked. Everyone was friendly and the decor is awesome. I haven’t walked out of a restaurant and been so fulfilled in a long time. It was great thank you!!

I had four different tacos: duck, oysters, pork belly, and baja fish. They were all very tasty and I highly highly recommend! That said, if I really really had to choose the top 3, it would be the first 3 ones I listed. Tip: Mexican ranch on the side made them even juicier, if you ask me! It doesn’t come with the order by default so you might have to ask for it.

At Bartaco you order online and then they bring your food out to you. Personally I was not a big a fan of this system and the website I had to use to order my food was very annoying. The appetizers were the best part. The guacamole and salsas were amazing. The corn fitters were delicious. The tacos were just okay. I didn’t think they were anything amazing. Overall service was pretty quick and it was a good meal but I would not come back here.

The food here is amazing! The flavors are rich and unexpected from standard fare. I highly recommend everybody try the plantains as they blew me away with their sweet and salty taste. The glazed pork belly is a perfectly sweet meat but still tender and flavorful. I was surprised with how good the food was honestly, but it’s reassuring to know that the drinks are just as good. Kudos to the staff for great food, great vibes, and a great time. My favorite place to eat in Madison by far.

Great place for a cozy dinner for couples. Great ambiance. Central bar area with mild music. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. During Covid with mask restrictions, it was QR code scan menu, order online and delivered to the table. Food great with subtle flavors. Tacos were amazing and for the 1st time I’m seeing the big chips with guacamole (fresh of course). Ahi tuni was amazing. Wheel chair accessible entrance. Entrance faces south. Overall it was great experience and I will visit this place again.

First time here, food is great. No doubt Servers are friendly and thorough. Ordering through phone though is not very practical, especially when internet connection is not present/ mobile data is limited or if a guest doesn't currently have a QR code reader. With the process of holding a card, it's a bit time consuming. Wait time for tables is fairly long if it's busy. So I really recommend this place for good eats and if you have time onn your hands. Any day is Taco Day at @bartacolife My go to taco place in town!!! Upbeat and fun spot in Hilldale offering great food, great vibe, and awesome service. I love that they have transitioned to ordering via digital menus using QR codes. No cash only debit/credit method of payment. I love their taco variety , my favorites are the tuna tatako, Baja fish, spices chicken verde, chili lime shrimp and cauliflower . The ahi tuna bowl is amazing too. You can’t escape this place without trying the street corn fritters and ceviche!!! SO SO GOOD!! Love their kids menu. We always get the kids tray and it’s a perfect amount. The give coloring books and crayons to take with!! Clear winner here.
