The Cove Restaurant

We have wanted to try this place for a long time & made reservations for 8 on a Friday evening….Menu has just the right amount of options & alterations was allowed (loaded baked potato was too good to pass up)….waitstaff is very attentive. Food arrived within the expected amount of time…Drinks were enjoyable - food was delectable - especially desserts. Would definitely recommend.

The crispy chicken sandwich was burnt, bacon was burnt and I was disappointed in the quality of food for the cost. It was 3 frozen overly cooked chicken tenders garnished with some burnt black bacon, the bun looked like it’s been smashed. Customer service was good, location was good, quality of food was poor.

In town for a few days, definitely one of the best places to eat in long Beach! Didn't have a reservation(lunch) but got right in. Wish we chose to sit on the patio(we got to choose where we sat) as it was a beautiful day, but now we know for next time! Great beers on tap. We each had a different roast beef sandwich, both were delicious. Highly recommend their horseradish sauce and roast beef/prime rib anything!

It was my birthday dinner. My 65. I made reservations for a table by the fireplace. Perfect they seated us in front of the fireplace. But shortly after turned it off. 20 or more minutes go by before anyone waits on us. I saw some weird power play happening between the waitresses before they realized we had been ignored. When the brought the first round of coffee it was tepid. Never checked back to see if we needed more coffee or water. When they brought the soup we asked for more coffee. Didn't bring it till after we asked again when they brought the meal that took forever. The waitresses and staff were still not working as a team. This time the coffee was finally hot. But half my food was cold. Happy Birthday to me, not. They didn't charge us and offered a free desert but we were done with the experience by then. Won't be going back.
