If you come here for food, you are going to have a great time. Check out the back patio and indulge in a mixed beer cider drink. Mmmmmhhhmmm. Shepard's pie is awesome. All burgers are super good. But, the real deal is the happy hour. Such an amazing happy hour menu - certainly the best in the area. Grab a couple beers, some nachos, and fried pickles and laugh with the nice bartenders. Good times.

All I will say is that they have the hands down best fish and chips that you will ever have. And if you get the fries with it have them melt Gorgonzola cheese on it. This place is the best enough said. I come here for my birthday every year. It's sort of a tradition. And if we have family from out of town we go there.

They simply do not make places like this anymore. It's straight out of Dublin, the sort of well lit place that brings feelings of warm coziness to lonely travelers. Food is fantastic (I think best burger in Long Beach) and the staff is friendly and open. It's just a very relaxed vibe, very calm and happy and pleasant all around. Really hugely underrated food too, the corn beef and cabbage is sooo good. Everything a pub should be. EXCEPT: no sour beer selection. They gotta get on that asap.

My go to place for lunch, don't forget the daily specials on the chalk board. Update:. Menu is getting tired and for some reason, they a purchasing their food through a different broker. It's obvious enough that the food has become bland and boring. For the price , you can visit a number if nice places on 2nd Street or downtown. No longer eating here.

EJ Malloy's is a tried-and-true standby for good eats and brews in the 'hood. I can't believe I haven't written a review about this location yet. I used to the go to the one in Bixby Knolls a lot as it was close to my old office, but now I come to this one more often since it's close to home. Still love their gorgonzola fries, but I do try to limit the intake. I had their Monday burger, fries and beer for $10 deal recently, which was pretty sweet. They have some kind of deal going on for every day of the week and the servers are always friendly and smiling every time I come here. The only drawback for me is the layout: it's all long and narrow so it can feel a little cramped. Their patio is nice, though, so there's that. They're also a MOGL restaurant, which means you get cash back every time you dine here. Get the app, link it to a credit card, and every time you use that card at a MOGL establishment, you get like 10% back, which is pretty generous, I think.
