El Pollo Loco

I dont know if this is chicken or charcoal!. Sad to say, I never learned my lesson to this particular Branch. I was hoping every time im buying my chicken will be juicy as i requestd. Also, how will you appreciate the chicken without Salsa, cilantro and onion. I love el pollo loco chicken but this Branch need to improve their chicken.

The chicken was good and seasoned well. However, the chicken was rather dry from being on the grill too long, most likely, and when biting into the meat, the chicken tasted like sand. I got a lot of Crunchy burns. I have eaten chicken on the grill with burned and it was fine but this was different. My guess, because I barbecue at home, when the grill isn't cleaned right, or not cleaned at all, a mixture of what was on the grill ends up on what your cooking. Also, need to spray the chicken, keep it moist. Too many chickens on the grill... I will try other locations and see the difference.

I will never go to eat there on my lunch break, almost 20 min to receive my order, I ordered a double chicken avocado salad, the avocado was black, it looked awful. I asked the server if thats the way all the avocado looked like, she relayed my exact question to the prep girl but did not replied to me, I stood the for around 8 minutes until they handed me 3 slices of fresh avocado in a piece of paper, I discarded the bad avocado to the trash my self. I am really disappointed... I worked for El Pollo Loco in 2007 for 3 years and our managers would never allowed bad service, bad food or careless attention to customers because we had secret shoppers...

I live close by and have frequented this place. There service is HORRIBLE. They close when they want to. Literally just saw a car leaving with food. I pull in and they don't respond then say there closed. I see them inside cooking still and making plates to take home but won't sale me any food. This has happened several times. I also notice they only hire certain ethnic groups. It's really sad. ALL people deserve a fair shot at employment. I WILL BOYCOTT and tell all my friends and family. DO NOT PATRONIZE this business.
