Great little cafe! Service was fast and the food and drinks were great! We had eggs royale, full breakfast, the hulk smoothie and tea and coffee!

Stayed over in Hackney for a wedding and we ate lunch and breakfast at Mess twice. Very extensive and diverse menu for a small cafe. Food was excellent and well presented and the staff were lovely. Would definitely use if we were in the area again.

Amazing prices, amazing staff, food was exactly what you'd expect and felt like they had everything. Burger was great. Breakfast was great. Coffee was good. Food came out really fast. I keep going back just to try new things.

I have visited many times and can't fault it. Very good selection for both meat and non meat eaters. As a vegetarian I have had a vegetarian breakfast which was very filling, tasty and value for money. I've also had many jacket potatoes, sandwiches (good selection of breads), chips, salads and milkshakes. The options are endless. The establishment is clean, friendly and good value for money. I would recommend and make sure you come with an appetite 🤣 .

A very good spot for English breakfast
I love the food and coffee but a little disappointed with the feta cheese there is no taste in that……

So I took my daughter for a quick bit to eat, as we were both hungry.
After looking at the menu there was a big variety, even if you were halal and vegetarian as for gluten-free which we felt was the best option we went for the jacket potato. I should have asked about gluten-free but next time.
So I had salmon and my daughter had cheese 🧀 and salad 🥗 was on the side as well. We also had a bowl of chips 🍟 all was fresh and hot.
The service was good and the atmosphere is clam but gets busy.

One of my regular haunts for an English breakfast set with coffee, due to its quality of ingredients, cooking, and affordable price range. The vibe of this place is causal and unpretentious, akin to a diner where you can enjoy your meal with no fuss.
If you get a chance, try their espresso shake too - made with freshly brewed espresso shots and scoops of vanilla ice cream blended into a delicious concoction, it’s an addictive delight. I believe I added banana into it once and it was superb.

Great portion size and delicious food! Mess cafe is the perfect spot for a delicious breakfast/brunch with a great atmosphere. It is very clean, has modern decor and the staff are lovely. There are fair prices. I’ve visited for years and I always have a great time.
