I was excited when I saw oyster PoBoy on the menu, I was beginning to think New Orleans was the only place I could get one. But I have to admit I was a little disappointed when the meal came. The Poboys were wrapped in aluminum foil and looked like two burritos. Then it was a bit skimpy, four pieces of oyster on the entire sandwich. I ordered some extra pieces of oyster to put on the sandwich. It tastes great but I ended up paying way more than I ever want to pay for sandwich. A friend of mine ordered the oyster platter, I wish I would have went that route. Other than that the food tastes great and the service was good.

The food is good. I don't like the fact that the four piece catfish steak dinner consists of 3 catfish steaks and 1 fish tail. Also the cashier with all the facial piercings is super, extra rude and very unprofessional every time I visit which was a lot!!! Needless to say now I get my jumbo grilled shrimp @ Blue Dolphins. You get great service with a smile and more for your money

We just came back from eating at Sams Southern Eatery. We stumbled upon it when looking for a place to eat. We are from the Kansas City area staying in Little Rock tonight on our way to New Orleans. Sams food is some of the best I have had in a very long time. They really take pride in what they serve. I had the chicken tenders (delicious), okra that was cooked to perfection. Mac& Cheese was very good. My husband had the fried chicken wings, red beans & rice and also Okra. We wanted to try the chicken gizzards so we ordered a half order. These were the best gizzards I have ever had. All in all this was an excellent dining experience and everyone working there was so pleasant. If you decide to give Sams a try, I know you will not be disappointed. Everything that was coming out to other tables looked so good. I saw plates of catfish being delivered to the table behind us and it looked so good. This place is 5 star all the way. Enjoy !!!!!!!
