Honestly tasted like the cook just walked across the street and bought pasta sauce and tortellini from Kroger. But that wouldn't explain the crazy long wait. Nor why it would take so long considering the near to total absence of people (which probably should've been a warning). The only occupied table were the owner and his friends...or at least guessing it was the owner because after getting food he stood up and offered pepper and cheese. But why loudly tell stories that included cursing when a family is sitting right across? Seems like they all have all given up. Giving 2 stars because waitress was nice and decorations cool, so looks like a great place to drink with friends. But be warned...food terrible and overpriced. Anyone giving 5 stars are probably just family members of owner.

It was.. great. We was driving around and decided to give this place a try. It's a very small restaurant on the main strip. Parking may be an issue but it's a nice neighborhood to walk in. I ordered the 8oz filet topped with mushrooms and a demi glaze. It came with rosemary potatoes. The meat was prepared medium rare and was divine. The demi glaze was absolutely fabulous. The price was $29 but in this part of the town, that's an average price for upscale food. Service was a little slow due one server for the entire place but I can look past that.

Good Italian restaurant and we were regulars there until my wife got diagongonsed with celiac disease and we had to switch to gluten-free diet. They used to have a dishes that were gluten free but they phased them out as they were unpopular. I called them ahead of one of the Valentine's days regarding if they can make a dish gluten free and they said yes. I made a reservation in advance. Day comes, we are in the restaurant and they totally forgot about our request (which I know was a long shot but they promised to deliver). Our waiter got inpatient with us and got rude. But the owner made someone run to the store to get gluten free pasta so they could prepare the dish. Overall, it was good experience but since celiac diagnosis, we were unable to visit this place.

I have been wanting to try this place for awhile. A group of my family decided to try it. My build a pasta was good. My wife had salmon and said it was bland. No one was overly impressed with the food especially for the high prices. The drinks were very expensive. If you eat here, you better check your bank account after you leave because an employee wrote in their own 20% tip on one ticket from our group. We called and had them refund the money because we didn’t approve that tip. I believe this is theft by the employee. Be very careful here Update: so the owner says they have a policy that if you do not leave a tip they write in 20%. This is not posted anywhere or explained to you. That really seems like theft to me.......

I have read all of the reviews, and I was shocked to see they weren't all 5 star reviews. My grandson took me there for dinner, and our meals were superb!!! I had a half order of fettuccine alfredo. It was more than delicious!!! Our waiter was fantastic, service and meal were excellent, our meals were not too pricey, and our dining experience was perfect. There's no way I am able to understand this place doesn't have 5 star reviews straight across the board. My grandson asked our waiter for the dish with the most food that would fill him up. Guaranteed, and done!!! We had an outstanding dinner experience. And, I almost forgot the martini menu. Check it out!!! Ambience, excellent service, and killer, delicious food. A very enjoyable evening! Thanks Cafe Prego!!!

World class restaurant here guys. Very cool place to come for a date night. Food is very good and the staff is always friendly. Dining area is always clean and never an issue. Restrooms are always clean and convenient. Location is very convenient as well. The staff treats everyone as if this was the only place in the world to eat- very world class no doubt. Price is very competitive with the other restaurants in this area. Location is very convenient and walking friendly. Shop and eat in this are for sure. Come up park and walk to eat.

Came here for my birthday because I love Italian food. Waiter recommended the tortellini, and I love tortellini so I ordered it. Later I asked about the ingredients in my partner's gluten free lasagna and was told they don't make any noodles in house. I expect that for GF pasta, but I also asked if this meant my tortellini, and he said yes. They order it from an outside company because it's too much work to make it in house. So I paid $14 for store bought tortellini, some proscuito, mushrooms, and a mediocre cream sauce? Never again! There are plenty of local restaurants that do make their own pasta! Call me old fashioned, but I believe Italian restaurants should make their own pasta!

The restaurant is located, as many are, in an old house. Unfortunately it smelled like an old house. Anyway, I have Celiacs desease and was told they made a gluten free lasagna. It had one gluten free noodle on bottom and the rest was tomato sauce and some ricotta cheese. Mush. My wife had the tortalini. It tasted ok. When we asked our waiter if they made their own pasta, he said, and I quote "that is too much trouble and takes too much time." So my wife paid $14 for a plate of store baught pasta. But they do make their sauce. That makes it so much better. Apparently they don't make any of the pasta in house. Now I am worried about how gluten free my food actually was. It was my wifes birthday dinner. So dissapointing.
