Atzimba Mexican Restaurant

Excellent and prompt service! Food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend if you're wanting to stay close to your journey on your road trip. Our server Carrie, was ideal! She was friendly, attentive, and helpful. Also, Clean restrooms speak volume and with all that being said, they deserve 5 stars from our experience!

When you go to Lexington, the first Mexican restaurant you're probably going to see is Los Portales. Most of the time though, I would definitely tell people instead of going to Los Phone, go to Atzimba. The selection on the menu is insane. They have everything you could possibly think of. The last time I went I got a shrimp dish served on a flaming plate. I wasn't sure what this meant when reading the menu so I asked. I got told it was a flaming plate, which didn't tell me much more than the menu had. So I decided to be adventurous and ordered it, and when it came out there was fire under my food. my mother's food was served on a pineapple. I think that if you are down for an adventure, this may be your place. The wait staff is friendly, consistently asking if you need something, and very polite. They don't seem to have trouble with you requesting things. The place is clean, and amazing in its attention to detail. All of the chairs and tables have different scenes reminiscent of Mexico, which are raised in relief and painted with colorful lacquer. Even though they're not expensive they sure look it. You'll feel like you're in a fancy Mexican restaurant, until you pay the bill. The prices are very reasonable, the food is outstanding, and the service is wonderful. Just remember to say hi to the iguana!

Just moved to Tennessee from Utah. We live about 15 mins from here and ventured out … long story short this was amazing! Guac was excellent. The manager was very friendly and attentive as well as the server. Fish tacos were excellent. By far the winner was the pitcher of margarita. Coming from Utah we were in heaven. Just the middle level of heaven ,( Teresital I think) 😂 I highly recommend
