Finally tried this place. Got pork chops and my wife got meat loaf- both were good. Will definitely be returning. Fair prices and good food. Add this to the list of really decent places to eat in Lexington.

I got fried chicken, collard greens, cabbage and mashed potatoes with gravy. Collard greens was very bland. Cabbage tasted like butter and bacon. Mashed potatoes and gravy tasted like gravy. Fried chicken was on the bland side. Interior looked decent and environment feels inviting but exterior could use some work. Service was great. Couldn't find the sanitation grade in restaurant or online.

Pricey.Staff at front counter eating freeze pops while waiting on customers. Placing them near silverware and on the counter. Cook was great. He thanked me. No one else. Won't be going back.

The food was very good and the prices were reasonable. A little slow at getting the food to the table. But I attribute that to growing pains. Wait staff were very nice.

I have been a regular customer since Carey's opened last June. I have, without exception, enjoyed every meal I have eaten. Carey's is quite an asset to Lexington!
