Cagney's Lexington Nc

Had breakfast at this location this past Sunday morning and I must say I was very impressed. I tried the salmon patties and they were wonderful! They were perfectly seasoned, and cooked just right, scrambled eggs with cheese, mushrooms, green peppers, onions, and tomatoes. I had toast and shredded hashbrowns as well. Actually, everything on my plate was great. Not to mention our server Eva was so on point. She was really nice, respectful, and attentive to our party. Overall the restaurant, chef, and the server absolutely understood the assignment. We got some cake to-go because it looked so good and when we did eat it later it tasted just as good as it looked. Even though I don't live in Lexington, I most definitely would take the drive to go here for breakfast again

We ordered here from door dash. We had never eaten here before but my daughter and father in law did before he passed. One of the times they went she ordered a water and received a glass of bleach. The waitress said she apparently grabbed the wrong pitcher because they had a pitcher of bleach water on the counter they were cleaning with. When it happened they (restaurant personnel) had a good laugh about it and just blew it off. My FIL wouldn't be deterred from dining there several times a week. He loved the place. So fast forward to today. We ordered from there because my daughter is pregnant and was craving fried mushrooms. We ordered several entrees and two orders of mushrooms. The mushrooms were $9.15 each which normally wouldn't be a problem. Except they gave us about 15 little mushrooms in each order. Not even enough to cover the bottom of half of the container. Both orders together might have made one order normally. I'm guessing maybe at the last minute they noticed the second order and split it into two. That's the only thing I can figure. But needless to say I was pretty disappointed because my daughter has been telling me about these mushrooms for a year. She has been trying to talk us into trying Cagney's and we always said no! Well, I'm going to continue to say no in the future.
