Decentralized from the busy downtown, AI bar is a decent spot in the bars ecosystem of Lexington Kentucky. I was recently there to take pictures of an event and I love the energy and vibes provided by AI bar.

Swung in from Louisville for a show, and absolutely would stop in again. Staff was ultra-friendly, space was perfect for a small concert, and the bar is just a mile or so away from some excellent restaurants. Sign behind the bar said something like 'when ur here - ur family' and I dig it.

Great bar. Food was out of site priced. Have bought a steak for less money than this hamburger out of a box. The drinks were great and so were the people.

I am bias in posting this review as my son is playing here live tonight. It's quite cozy and casual and the bartender was great.
They didn't serve food tonight and that's how it supposed to be on Mondays...?
We should try to book another evening for more crowd and food. The margarita I ordered was great.
Come on out for great food, drinks and live music.

I don't drink anymore but when I did Al's was one of my favorite spots. They would always cook me something even if the kitchen was closed and they had one of the few pool tables in town where, as a female, I wasn't afraid to put some quarters down. Their live music was always eclectic and usually enjoyable. They even have ski ball.

Went to see a band play, and it was a lot of fun! The bartenders/owners were excellent! Me and my group were at the bar watching the show, and they would check up on us to make sure we were good. The decor was fun and pleasant, and they had a small but well kept outside sitting area if you needed air. It did fill up quickly.

One of the best places to catch live music in an intimate setting. They always have a great selection of craft beer and the underberg shots are a must. Great patio as well

Popped in to Al's while visiting for LexCon 2018 after hanging out at the Arcadium across the street. There was no live music that night, but is was incredibly down to earth. The bartender was an incredibly nice guy, and even took pictures with our sloppy selves at the end of the night (our small group was most of the patrons that night).
We never got around to coming back to order what looked like delicious food from there, but next visit we plan to.
