Columbia Steak House

Me and my buddy ordered the 8 oz sirloin medium with sauteed mushrooms and onions. Had a big huge baked potato and a awesome salad with blue cheese. I enjoyed the meal and so did my friend but I ordered a West six IPA and a Kentucky ale which they didn't have so I got the Bourbon barrel ale and both were out of date. Overall, great place and will be back next time, but will order a cocktail or wine.

While I forgot to take a picture of the food, I can tell you it is phenomenal food. The staff are super sweet and attentive. Food (especially the prime rib) is outstanding. They also have a weekday lunch menu that is cheap but still tasty and filling. This is my go-to steak house in lexington thanks to the consistent friendly service and delicious steaks!

Steak tips were excellent, but not exactly what I ordered. Our server was pretty good, but she was working lunch alone with customers in three dining rooms. Poor lady needed roller skates! I can honestly say the decor hasn't changed in 40 years. My wife said, "Neither have the clients!" In our 50's, we were by far the youngest couple there.

This place was an absolute joke!!! Upon arrival you immediately notice the drab, outdated decor. Then, our table was greasy to the touch. When we asked about it, we were told that it was the cleaner. No, it wasn't. Also, the candle was replaced with a fake one that was covered in a ridiculous amount of dust.. Next, we ordered our food. I had the 16 oz. T-Bone, my wife had the 12 oz. Ribeye and we both got the Salad and a Baked Potato as sides. First, the Salad. It was an average Salad, but the croutons had obviously been drenched in butter before being cooked. Second, the baked potato; it would have been okay, but the butter they used was the grossest I've ever tasted. Also, they put so much on the potato that it actually made the thing cold. Finally, my steak was a super cheap cut, but cooked properly. It was no where near worth the $25 price tag. My wife's steak was the same poor quality and it was over cooked, too. She ordered it Medium and it came out Well-Done. I will never go there again and strongly recommend everyone to STAY AWAY!!!! The one saving grace was the waitress...she did her best in a bad situation and I did feel comfortable leaving her a tip.

First time eating at this restaurant tonight and I can say five stars is not enough. The food is phenomenal. The nighthawk special is so tender its hard to believe it's real. Appetizers and sides were spot on and I was sad I couldn't try them all. Now on to the servers. Ben is the server that every restaurant wishes they had. Personable, knowledgeable, and kind. Jason, another server, went out of his way to make the best appetizer I've ever had. Make sure to stop by and check this place out.

I don't remember the name of our server but she was the best server I've ever had in the industry! Other than that the food was really bland but the fries and steaks were pretty good. One of our guests really liked the chicken tenders here and the margaritas were nominal at best. Overall it isn't a phenomenal place to go for steak but it's close to home so at least we don't have to drive far. 6 out of 10 deportations only because they really need to up their flavor game and drink game if they wanna compete with other steak houses in the area.

Dear Greg, Please teach your cooks how rare steaks are prepared. It's an art, I know, and not every steak will be perfect each time. But, there's quite a difference in a rare prime rib and one that's ruined. (Otherwise known as well done.) And please try to engage a deeper bench in staffing. The people there are fine, just not enough of them! It's been a few decades since I've been there, so perhaps I'm misremembering the most delicious cut of beef in my life. I hope to recapture that exquisite experience again, hopefully while I'm still able!
