Drove through Kansas on our road trip and found this cute sandwich shop! I ordered a Reuben, and the bread and everything was cooked just right. So good!! Employee was so friendly, walked us through the menu and made sure everything tasted good. Wish this was closer to home!!!!

We stopped in here on a Saturday night, 30 minutes before close. The woman helping us (either manager or owner I would guess) was super friendly and funny. Sandwiches were creative and delicious. My teens had a blast with the chalkboard wall while we waited. I got a side salad with my sandwich and it was easily twice the size as a take out salad from my local pizza place. Will definitely be back.

Second time visiting Sandwich Bowl today. Will definitely be a staple visit every time I come down to Lawrence. Amazing sandwiches and friendly service.

Post pandemic, and I am able to return to Sandwich Bowl. Excellent sandwiches and soups still abound. I had a taste of the Ham and Beans. And my favorite, the Flaming Pig! Staff remains attentive and friendy. Great place for lunch and dinner. The sandwiches provide a filling meal. And the desserts are excellent too! Not to be missed.

I purchased a piece of coffee banana cake with espresso cream cheese frosting. I don't typically like coffee but love their carrot cake and other delicious foods so I gave it a try. It was absolutely scrumptious, I highly recommend the Sandwich Bowl! Tell Jessi hi when you visit!

Second time being here and the food is just sooooo good. Everyone that works there is so nice. Everyone in Lawrence or comes thru Lawrence should stop by here.

The sandwiches are ok. A little overpriced in my opinion. What we had were just pretty basic sandwiches. The Philly was small with not a lot of meat and pretty standard Philly mass produced meat. My group has the chicken and pork sandwiches. And someone has their loose meat burger. Nothing special simply chopped up burgers on a hoagie roll. I wish the hoagie roll was crusty but thats just my preference.

This place has quite a menu. Two blackboards full of menu items. We had the patty melt and the gyros sandwich. The patty melt was cooked fresh and tasty. My wife wasn't impressed by the gyros sandwich. The service was friendly. My only complaint was the cleanliness of the place. The floors and walls were very dirty. It's good to see that KU endorses the place with a custom Sandwich Bowl Jayhawk!
