Dickey's Barbecue Pit

I went there on Veterans Day because someone told me they were offering a Free Sandwich for Veterans. I went in and the gentleman who took my Order was very nice. He got my Sandwich fixed really quick and Thanked me for my Service. It was not a skimpy sandwich. It was very good. Please support this business who honors those who serve(d) this great country that we live in.

The BBQ is top notch. We were looking for something different here in town, while playing softball at James Brown sports park. The owner’s kindness takes the cake as he was willing to let us try anything before we ordered. It was melt in your mouth true home bbq. High recommend stopping in for lunch or dinner! It has more of a fast food feel with dine in restaurant seating.

We had a sudden desire for barbecue this past Saturday and good reviews with close proximity led us to Dickey’s. We have just found our go to spot. Simple order up and seat yourself in a small yet cozy setting. We both ordered the three meat plate. Smoked turkey was wonderful, the brisket tasteful and the spicy sausage had a nice kick that came in after a bit. The macaroni and cheese and creamed spinach sides spot on. Would say only the cornbread not at the same level as everything else. Will be back again real soon to either repeat the same or try those menu choices that I did not try.

Super friendly staff. They even kind of made it seem like they enjoyed being there. All of the people coming in were friendly too. The quality of food was on par for chain bbq. Loved the free ice cream and the soda fountain selection was on point with Hi-C fruit punch and orange available. I would stop in again if I was on a road trip.
