Next time i want sushi i’ll pass on eating here. Atleast Sushi Madre wraps the chicken on their Monterrey roll around the entire roll. What a sad peice of mediocre chicken.

My wife and I have been coming to this restaurant since we were children, and the food has always been great, but tonight really hurt my opinion of this place. We moved out of town and are back visiting family this weekend. My wife and I decided to try and squeeze in a dinner at Koto, and their website says they close at 11 pm. We were there at 10:40 but the door was locked. The manager lightly told us they closed at 9 tonight. I guess they just felt like it. They need to honor their posted hours or change the hours listed on Google's ad for them.

Years ago we went to the Koto on Hillside I think it was. That was goed. Yesterday I had a guest who remembered that too and wanted sushi from Koto. Since the other place was closed I had to go to the one on mines for take out. What a sad place. The restaurant is depressing. The sushi was horrible. There was a rainbow roll that had so little fish the roll looked white. The fish was warm, so clearly had been out in the open a long time while the restaurant barely opened. The tuna was dried out. It is a health hazard. We threw it out. The only good thing was the female waitress, who was very helpful and friendly.

We've always loved this place but our last visit was really terrible. The service was so poor. The food is still good but we waited over an hour for our food and there was only one other table there. I personally waited an extra 15 minutes, on top of the hour, for my roll, while the other table was served before I was. The waiter never apologized for the wait, and we had to ask him repeatedly for extra plates, refills and chopsticks. And finally when we went to pay, the credit card machine wasn't working. This trip was a real disappointment.

I visit often though I find they are out of eel because its so good here. But they also have a wide variety of sushi to satisfy any pallette. (Provided your not from Japan of course, its illegal to sell uncooked fish in America so most establishments microwave then chill the "Sushi".

One of the first places I think of when I feel like having sushi. I am partial to fresh rolls like the Kirsh, along with a cucumber salad, while my wife likes the Villarreal. Their ongoing dine-in 2 for 1 (same roll) special in the evenings is an added bonus.

I like that their waiter is really friendly but I couldn't seem to notice that her hair was all over the place! The food was really good and she actually gave us MORE change but we left it as a tip.

Their only server, waiter and cashier guy is either a walking machine with glasses or either a trained spy haha! Putting all jokes aside the place is okay, their drinks are flat but the magic (or nightmare) about this place is that sometimes it's only one little guy running the whole restaurant.. Employees are very friendly cheering peeps that step in and out though. The only 2 issues I have with this Sushi place are these: 1.- They might not have what you want. (Trust me it happens a lot) 2. - Food might take some time to get to your table. Hope and they improve in the future. Koto used to be my favorite place but now I barely see employees there I feel that place is dying.
