Hula Grill Kaanapali

Filet mignon, burgers and drinks were perfect. Service was great, didn't want to wait 45 mins for table so sat at the bar. Bartenders were all very friendly and though very busy, still managed to be attentive and even chimed in to converse with us on subjects we were discussing. Great time spent here!

I have never been to Hawaii, so when I saw the menu I was quite lost. I asked many questions and my waiter made sure to never make me feel like a burden. When my steak came, it was undercooked and my waiter took it back and agreed that it was. That was not his fault. Man!! but when I got the steak back. OH MY. It was fantastic, probably one of the best steaks I have had in my life. I ordered a Meduim-well fillet mignon with mushrooms on the side and a side of the pineapple butter. It was absolutely delightful, I will probably dream about that combination. The glaze served with the perfectly tender steak with the phenomenal butter, it was absolute perfection. I also could not stop there, we ordered the Hula Pie, which was essentially ice cream with chocolate, whipped cream, and macadamia nuts, but it was delicious anyways and the perfect way to end my night. There was pretty cool entertainment as well.

We were greeted by the warmest smile, and were sat in sand area of the restaurant so we were able to kick off our shoes and relax. We had the Dynamite fish, the pulled pork sandwich, and the fish and chips. Of course we all shared the Hula pie. While the food was awesome the atmosphere with the live band and the employees made this a fantastic experience. Especially our server Shelby (like the car) she was great and also smiling all the time. My 11 year old son said she was the nicest person.

Lucas, Keefe,Josh, Amy, Carl,Amber, Shannon, Steve,... Just to mention a few of you that I got the pleasure of meeting and talking with while I was in Maui.. Amber and Shannon you have an AMAZING STAFF !! All Hard workers and always with a smile on their face.The food and drinks were always spot on!!! I had the honor of talking a little bit with Keefe (I hope I spell that right) hearing your story was touching. I know your a strong and hard worker. I love feeling the sand on your feet while you're having great lunch. Kudos to the waiters who walk on sand and send us our food! Our waiter was great, super friendly and even helped us customize our meal for our allergic friend. Thank you for the great service and food! Oh you simply must have the hula pie!

So so good!! Great location and atmosphere, we sat at the barefoot bar and everyone seemed to be having such a great time. Best service we've had in Maui, I unfortunately forgot the name of our waiter but he was amazing. The food was perfect and we were surprised at how inexpensive it was - we got two appetizers, two entrees and two non-alcoholic drinks and the bill was less than $100. Will definitely come back next time we visit Maui and recommend this place to all our friends.
