Bichelmeyer Meats

I'm a new customer and picked up our 1/4 cow last week. After losing power, our freezer wasn't working properly and everything started to thaw before I realized what had happened. (It was on, but not maintaining the proper temperature.) I called and spoke with Joe Bichelmeyer and he was incredibly kind and suggested that I bring the meat back in. They checked it, re wrapped it and held it while I purchased a new freezer. When I picked it up, he refused payment. I am so incredibly thankful for his kindness and customer service!

Stumbled upon this place based on recommendations from Reddit and other social media. Everyone spoke highly of the selection here, and after visiting a few times, I can certainly see why. Their butcher case has all kinds of cuts - everything from brisket to lengua - and the staff seem willing to cut just about anything that a customer asks for, even if it's not something that's ordinarily in the case. The Saturday tacos and quesadillas are very good as well - be sure to ask for cilantro and onion, and get a container or two of the "super hot" sauce. It's not as intimidating as it sounds, and it rounds out the flavor of the meats well. I wish there was a soda fountain for lunch service as opposed to vending machines, but I'm sure there's a reason. Also wanted to give a special shoutout to the bulk meat man (Joe, I think?). I've had my eye on buying bulk beef for months now, and in about 10 minutes, he explained my options and sold me on a split side. I thawed out a steak for tonight and let me tell you - it's better than anything I've found in a grocery store, by a mile!

Incredible butcher! They have almost any cut of meat you would want and can even work with you to get what you need. Full service deli as well with many other hispanic cuts that arent't as normal to see. Saturdays they make their own tacos/quesadillas/tamales which are absolutely delicious and well worth the price and trip.
